The FAG 6213 -2Z single-row deep-groove ball bearing, measuring 65x120x23 mm, offers effective protection against coarse dirt thanks to its sheet metal cover plates on both sides.
The FAG 6213-2Z deep groove ball bearing is a single-row rolling bearing designed primarily for radial loads, which also accommodates axial forces in both directions. With a bore of 65 mm, an outside diameter of 120 mm and a width of 23 mm, it complies with standardised mounting dimensions. Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6) with a sheet steel cage and standard radial clearance, this bearing is suitable for continuously running shafts in general mechanical engineering.
This deep groove ball bearing is suitable for designs with rotating shafts where radial forces are present and axial guidance is required. Typical applications include bearing arrangements operating at medium to high speeds and subject to moderate levels of contamination. Thanks to the non-contact sheet metal covers, the lubricant remains inside, whilst friction and heat build-up during operation are kept to a minimum. The bearing covers an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
The designation -2Z refers to steel sheet cover plates fitted on both sides. This gap cover protects the interior of the bearing from dirt particles without creating additional frictional resistance. The standard radial bearing clearance ensures smooth running at typical operating temperatures and with standard fits. In combination with tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1) and the flangeless cylindrical outer ring, the component can be fitted precisely into standardised housing bores.
With a bore of 65 mm, an outer diameter of 120 mm and a width of 23 mm, the bearing complies with the standardised main dimensions. During design and when replacing the bearing, care must be taken to ensure that the shaft fit and the housing bore are matched to these dimensions.
The designation -2Z refers to two cover plates made of sheet steel, fitted on both sides. These form a non-contact gap seal with the inner ring. This prevents any additional frictional resistance, which facilitates high speeds and prevents solid particles from entering the rolling element space.
The roller bearing is designed with standard radial clearance. This design provides the factory-set radial clearance between the balls and raceways when the bearing is in its unassembled state. It is suitable for conventional installation scenarios where there is no extreme thermal expansion of the shaft.
The permissible operating temperature range for this roller bearing is between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius. This range is limited by the material properties of the standard 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel, the sheet steel cage and the internal lubricant filling.
This bearing is manufactured to tolerance class P0 or PN, which corresponds to the ABEC 1 rating. This standard accuracy class meets the typical tolerance requirements in mechanical engineering and facilitates the direct replacement of bearings of the same dimensions.
The rings and rolling elements are made of standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6). A dimensionally stable sheet steel cage keeps the rolling elements at a uniform distance from one another. The end plates on both sides are also made of profiled sheet steel.
