The FAG 6026 deep-groove ball bearing, measuring 130 × 200 × 33 mm, is an open-type bearing designed for radial and axial loads in mechanical engineering.
The 6026 deep-groove ball bearing is a single-row rolling bearing manufactured by FAG for applications in drive technology and general mechanical engineering. The design features a bore of 130 mm, an outer diameter of 200 mm and a width of 33 mm. Manufactured from standard rolling bearing steel 100Cr6, this open bearing features rolling elements and rings with high dimensional accuracy. As a versatile bearing, it accommodates radial loads as well as moderate axial forces in both directions.
Shaft bearings with corresponding diameters require precise guidance under radial and axial loads. Owing to its dimensions, the 6026 deep groove ball bearing is used in industrial drives and supported shaft lines. The open design without integrated seals allows unhindered access of lubricant via a surrounding lubrication system. This enables the lubrication to be specifically tailored to the application. Without abrasive seals, the friction torque remains low.
The bearing is fitted with a sheet steel cage, which keeps the rolling elements spaced apart and guides them evenly. With standard radial bearing clearance and tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1, this design meets standardised fit requirements. An operating temperature range of –20 to +150 degrees is specified for this application. As no sealing washers are fitted as standard, an external housing seal must be provided to prevent the ingress of dirt and the loss of lubricant.
The dimensions are 130 mm bore diameter, 200 mm outer diameter and 33 mm width. Before fitting, the shaft seat and housing bore must be checked for correct fit to ensure the bearing sits without stress.
Open bearings are supplied ex-works without cover plates or contact seals on the end faces. This allows lubricant from an oil bath or a centralised lubrication system to reach the raceways directly. In contaminated environments, this design requires external sealing around the housing to protect the interior of the bearing.
The permissible temperature range is between -20 and +150 degrees. This range is based on the properties of the 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel and the sheet steel cage. The lubricant used must be suitable for the respective operating temperature in order to maintain the lubricating effect.
With standard radial bearing clearance, the component has a defined radial operating clearance for standard applications with typical shaft and housing fits. This ensures that the rolling elements roll freely under normal operating conditions without stress being induced by moderate temperature differences.
A sheet steel cage separates the rolling elements from one another, prevents them from coming into contact with each other and distributes them evenly across the raceway. Sheet steel is dimensionally stable and compatible with standard lubricants. It ensures the balls are guided smoothly at different speeds.
Manufacturing is carried out to tolerance class P0 or PN, which corresponds to the ABEC 1 classification. This standard tolerance meets the requirements of conventional mechanical engineering in terms of dimensional, geometric and running accuracy. Special precision requirements are not usually necessary for standard bearings.
