The FAG NU2312 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 60x130x46 mm, effectively withstands high radial loads as a separable idler bearing.
The NU2312 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row roller bearing from FAG designed for radial loads. Thanks to the line contact between the cylindrical rollers and the raceway, this rolling bearing can withstand high radial forces. The NU design functions purely as a non-locating bearing, in which the inner ring is designed to be removable from both sides. With a bore of 60 mm, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 46 mm, the design is suitable for high-load mechanical mounting points.
Design engineers use this cylindrical roller bearing in bearing arrangements where radial loads are the primary load and axial changes in shaft length must be compensated for without inducing stress. The bearing is used in industrial shaft mountings that require controlled axial displacement. Thanks to its separable design, the inner and outer rings can be fitted separately onto the shaft and housing. This simplifies installation when carried out in separate stages.
The designation TVP2 indicates a polyamide cage that guides the cylindrical rollers. This material reduces the cage’s weight and contributes to quiet operation. The permissible temperature range is from –30 to +120 degrees. As an open bearing, the component has no integrated seals. The bearing housing therefore requires external sealing as well as a suitable lubrication supply using oil or grease.
The NU design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and a flangeless inner ring. As a result, the component absorbs only radial forces and acts as a non-locating bearing. The bearing internally compensates for temperature-induced changes in the shaft’s length in the axial direction, without any harmful stresses being exerted on the bearing rings or rolling elements.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 60 mm, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 46 mm. These dimensions correspond to tolerance class P0 or standard tolerance (ABEC 1). The outer ring is designed without a lubrication groove or lubrication bore.
At FAG, this suffix denotes a polyamide window cage. The material is characterised by low moving masses and quiet running, and is designed for operating temperatures between -30 and +120 degrees.
This component is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance. The operating clearance is designed for standard fit specifications on the shaft and housing, as well as for typical operating temperatures. There are no special preloads or increased bearing clearance grades, such as C3.
Open roller bearings are supplied ex-works without sealing washers and are suitable for installation in locations where external sealing is provided within the machine housing. This design allows for flexible integration into existing oil or grease lubrication circuits and enables the lubricant to be replaced freely at scheduled maintenance intervals.
As the inner ring can be removed from both sides, the inner and outer rings can be fitted separately. Slide the inner ring onto the shaft seat separately and insert the outer ring, together with the roller set, into the housing bore. When joining the two parts, ensure that they are properly aligned.
