The SKF NUP306 ECP cylindrical roller bearing is an open, fixed bearing with dimensions of 30x72x19 mm, designed for high radial loads.
This single-row NUP306 ECP cylindrical roller bearing combines a high radial load capacity with precise shaft guidance. The bearing has a cylindrical bore of 30 mm, an outer diameter of 72 mm and a width of 19 mm. Thanks to the Explorer design with an optimised internal structure, the bearing can cope with demanding operating conditions. As this is an open design without an integrated seal, the component can be flexibly integrated into lubricated housing designs.
Design engineers primarily use this bearing where strong radial forces are present and axial fixation of the shaft is required at the same time. The NUP design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring. As a result, the bearing arrangement absorbs axial forces from both directions and functions as a true fixed bearing. The design is suitable for industrial bearing arrangements subject to high radial loads with axial fixation on both sides.
The integrated polyamide cage guides the cylindrical rollers with low friction and ensures quiet operation. The permissible temperature range is from –30 to +120 degrees. The bearings are manufactured with standard radial clearance, dimensional accuracy class P0/PN (ABEC 1) and enhanced running accuracy to tolerance class P6 (ABEC 3). For installation, this means high concentricity with standardised mounting dimensions. For open bearings, always ensure clean assembly and external sealing of the assembly.
The NUP design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring. Thanks to this arrangement, the bearing supports the shaft in both axial directions. It is therefore used in mechanical designs as a compact fixed bearing to accommodate combined loads.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 30 mm, an outside diameter of 72 mm and a width of 19 mm. The outer ring is designed without a groove or lubrication hole. The single-row roller bearing has a cylindrical bore for direct mounting on suitable shaft seats.
Polyamide is characterised by low friction and good damping properties. As a result, the bearing operates with low vibration and quietly. The permissible temperature range for this component is between -30 and +120 degrees, meaning that the component is designed for the relevant thermal operating conditions.
The roller bearing combines the dimensional accuracy of standard class P0 (or ABEC 1) with the finer running accuracy of class P6 (ABEC 3). The external dimensions therefore fit into standardised interference fits, whilst the higher running accuracy contributes to improved guidance accuracy and increased smoothness of rotation of the rotating shaft.
As this cylindrical roller bearing is supplied from the factory without sealing washers, it does not contain any initial grease. Lubrication is provided by the surrounding system, either with lubricating oil or a suitable rolling-element bearing grease. The housing design must be fitted with external sealing elements to retain the lubricant within the bearing and keep out contaminants.
This bearing is manufactured with a standard radial clearance. This standard clearance is suitable for normal operating conditions where there are no extreme temperature differences between the inner and outer rings and where standard shaft and housing fits are used.
