The FAG N211 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row idler bearing with a polyamide cage, measuring 55 x 100 x 21 mm.
As a radial roller bearing, the N211 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing can accommodate high radial loads. Thanks to the cylindrical rollers, this design provides line contact along the raceways, giving the bearing high radial stiffness. This open bearing from FAG Rolling Bearings has a bore of 55 mm, an outer diameter of 100 mm and a width of 21 mm. It is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees.
This cylindrical roller bearing is primarily used as a non-locating bearing for shaft guides subjected to purely radial loads. As the outer ring is designed to be removable on both sides and has no flanges, the bearing allows axial length changes of the shaft to be accommodated without constraint within the rolling elements. Shaft mountings utilise this degree of freedom to compensate for thermal expansion without inducing stress. The separable design also facilitates the separate installation of the inner and outer rings.
The N design is characterised by two fixed flanges on the inner ring and a flangeless outer ring. The polyamide cage ensures quiet guidance of the single row of rollers and reduces friction within the bearing. Manufactured to standard tolerances (tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1) and with standard radial clearance, the component fits precisely into standardised bearing seats. As the outer ring has no groove or lubrication bore and the bearing is open, provision must be made for lubricant supply and external housing seals in the surrounding structure.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 55 mm, an outer diameter of 100 mm and a width of 21 mm. It has a cylindrical seat without a lubrication groove on the outer ring.
In the N design, the inner ring guides the rollers between two fixed flanges, whilst the outer ring has no flanges and can be removed from both ends. As a result, the bearing functions purely as a support bearing for axial displacement.
The polyamide cage maintains a uniform spacing between the rolling elements and provides flexible guidance for the rollers. The material dampens vibrations during operation and ensures quiet running within the permissible temperature range.
The bearing is designed for an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. These limits are determined by the material of the polyamide cage and the dimensional stability of the rolling elements.
This roller bearing has the standard radial clearance (CN) and the standard tolerance class P0/PN, which corresponds to the ABEC 1 classification. It is designed for standard applications in mechanical engineering.
As the bearing is supplied without its own seals and the outer ring has no lubrication hole, grease or oil is supplied directly via the surrounding housing structure.
