The FAG NU306 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a separable idler bearing with a polyamide cage, designed for high radial loads, with dimensions of 30 × 72 × 19 mm.
The FAG NU306 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing in a reinforced E-design. The open bearing primarily accommodates high radial loads and does not transmit axial forces. With dimensions of 30 mm bore diameter, 72 mm outer diameter and 19 mm width, the model fits into suitable surrounding structures.
This cylindrical roller bearing is designed for bearing arrangements that require purely radial support and must compensate for axial length changes in the shaft. It is used in rotating systems subject to high transverse forces and acting as a floating bearing. Thanks to the line contact between the cylindrical rollers and the raceways, the design can withstand high radial loads. In combination with a fixed bearing on the opposite side, the component acts as a floating bearing.
The NU design has two fixed flanges on the outer ring, whilst the inner ring is flangeless and can be removed from both sides. This design facilitates the separate assembly of the inner and outer rings. The guided polyamide cage (suffix TVP2) reduces the weight of the rotating rolling element assembly and promotes smooth running. As the bearing is manufactured as an open unit, lubrication is provided by the surrounding structure.
A single-row radial roller bearing with an inner diameter of 30 mm, an outer diameter of 72 mm and a width of 19 mm. The FAG version features a lightweight polyamide cage (TVP2), standard radial bearing clearance and tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1). As an open design without an integrated seal, the component is designed for operation with an external lubricant supply via the surrounding structure.
In the NU design, the outer ring has two fixed guide flanges, whilst the inner ring has no flanges. This allows the inner ring to be removed from either side. During operation, this design enables axial shaft expansion to be compensated for without constraint directly within the bearing, without axial forces acting on the rolling elements.
The designation TVP2 refers to a polyamide cage. This material has a low mass, which reduces the inertial forces of the rolling element assembly and contributes to smooth running. Furthermore, the material elastically absorbs dynamic shock loads and is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees.
The permissible temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees. This range is primarily limited by the polyamide material of the cage and the thermal properties of the lubricant used. Applications outside these limits require alternative cage materials and specialised lubricants.
As the inner ring can be removed from both sides, the inner and outer rings can be fitted separately onto the shaft and housing. This simplifies installation as well as subsequent inspection work. As the model is supplied ex works without a seal and without a groove or lubrication bore on the outer ring, lubrication with grease or oil takes place via the housing environment.
The bearing complies with the standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1 and has a standard radial clearance. This specification meets the typical requirements of general mechanical engineering, where standardised fits are used on the shaft and housing bore.
