The FAG NU2315 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing, with a 75 mm bore, brass cage and idler bearing function, offers high radial load-carrying capacity for demanding industrial drives.
With the FAG NU2315 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing, you are choosing a single-row rolling bearing designed for heavy radial loads. Its dimensions are a 75 mm bore diameter, 160 mm outer diameter and 55 mm width. Thanks to its robust design with a brass cage, this version is suitable for environments subject to vibrations or thermal stresses. The open bearing is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +150 degrees.
This single-row cylindrical roller bearing primarily functions as a non-locating bearing in heavy-duty drive trains and industrial gearboxes. Typical applications are found in mechanical engineering, where high transverse forces act on the shaft, whilst axial forces are absorbed by a separate locating bearing. The built-in brass cage guides the rolling elements with minimal vibration. As the bearing is designed without a housing, designers prefer to integrate it into oil- or grease-lubricated housings with external seals.
The NU design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, whilst the inner ring is flangeless and removable from both sides. This design compensates for changes in shaft length caused by thermal expansion directly within the bearing. Furthermore, the separable inner ring simplifies assembly: you mount the outer ring and inner ring separately onto the shaft and housing. With standard radial bearing clearance and tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1, this variant covers common fit situations in standard operation.
The bearing has a bore of 75 mm, an outer diameter of 160 mm and a width of 55 mm. These dimensions define the installation space required for fitting it onto the shaft and within the housing.
In the NU design, the outer ring guides the rollers between two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring has no flanges. This allows the inner ring to be removed from both sides, which compensates for axial movements of the shaft without inducing stress inside the bearing.
A brass cage is characterised by high strength and good run-on properties. It guides the rollers stably even under severe vibrations or high acceleration forces, and withstands thermal stresses within the permissible temperature range.
The roller bearing is designed for use at operating temperatures between -30 and +150 degrees. Ensure that you choose a lubricant that also covers this temperature range.
This model is an open bearing with no integrated seals or cover plates. Lubricants can reach the raceways unhindered, which is why the adjacent structure should be protected against dirt and moisture by means of housing seals.
The bearing is manufactured with a standard radial clearance. This standard clearance is suitable for common shaft and housing fits, provided that no excessive temperature differences occur between the inner and outer rings during operation.
