The FAG NU2310 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 50x110x40 mm, offers high radial load-carrying capacity as a separable idler bearing for demanding industrial applications.
This single-row cylindrical roller bearing, the NU2310 -E-XL-TVP2-C3, is designed to withstand high forces as a radial rolling bearing. With an inner diameter of 50 mm, an outer diameter of 110 mm and a width of 40 mm, this design is suitable for heavy-duty operating conditions. This FAG rolling bearing component features a dimensionally stable polyamide cage and has no integrated seal. Low-friction operation is ensured by manufacture to standard tolerances in accordance with P0 or ABEC 1.
Design engineers primarily use this bearing in bearing locations where pure radial forces act under high loads. As this is the NU design, the component functions as a non-locating bearing. The inner ring can be removed from both sides, allowing the bearing to compensate for changes in shaft length caused by thermal effects. Separate assembly of the inner and outer rings simplifies the installation process in practice.
The combination of the TVP2 polyamide cage and the increased radial clearance (C3) offers functional benefits under varying operating conditions. Bearing clearance class C3 provides additional clearance between the rolling elements and raceways. This helps to prevent jamming should the shaft heat up during operation or if tight fits are selected. The elastic polyamide cage absorbs shock loads, operates quietly and retains its dimensional stability within the permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
The NU design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, whilst the inner ring is flangeless. This allows the inner ring to be withdrawn from either side. The component primarily absorbs radial loads and compensates for axial displacement of the shaft relative to the housing directly within the bearing.
The suffix C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This increased clearance is advantageous when temperature differences arise between the inner and outer rings during operation. It reduces the risk of excessive preload caused by thermal expansion or by fixed bearing seats.
This bearing has an inner diameter of 50 mm, an outer diameter of 110 mm and a width of 40 mm. These standardised dimensions enable it to withstand high radial forces within a compact installation space.
The polyamide cage ensures stable operation at temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees. The material is characterised by its low weight and elasticity, which can dampen vibrations and operating noise in the roller bearing.
The bearing has no integral seals. The outer ring has no groove and no lubrication holes. Lubrication is therefore provided by a suitable lubricant via the surrounding bearing housing, which also protects against the ingress of dirt.
The NU2310 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0 (equivalent to PN or ABEC 1). This dimensional and running accuracy meets standard requirements for concentricity and fit in mechanical engineering.
