The NU219 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing from FAG Wälzlager is a single-row idler bearing measuring 95 × 170 × 32 mm, designed to withstand high radial loads.
The NU219 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is designed to support rotating shafts under high radial loads. In this version from FAG Wälzlager, the design combines a 95 mm bore, an outer diameter of 170 mm and a width of 32 mm. Due to the line contact between the rolling elements and raceways, the unit can withstand high transverse forces. Thanks to the removable inner ring, this single-row roller bearing is particularly suitable for separate installation procedures where there are tight fits on both the shaft and the housing.
As a classic floating bearing, the NU219 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing compensates for thermal linear changes in the shaft without resistance within the bearing itself. The inner ring has no flanges, so axial displacement relative to the housing occurs without additional clamping forces. This protects adjacent components from axial stress.
Typical applications include radially loaded bearing arrangements where axial thermal expansion of the shaft must be compensated for. As the bearing is of open design and is lubricated via the housing structure, the cylindrical roller guide offers high structural rigidity under load.
The TVP2 polyamide cage guides the rollers quietly and is characterised by its low weight. This design is suitable for an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. The inner ring can be removed from both sides, which facilitates separate pressing onto the shaft and installation into the housing.
The bearing has a standard radial clearance and a tolerance class of P0/PN or ABEC 1. As the outer ring is designed without a groove or lubrication bore, grease or lubricating oil is supplied from the front via the surrounding structure.
This single-row cylindrical roller bearing has a bore of 95 mm, an outer diameter of 170 mm and a width of 32 mm. With these dimensions, the bearing fits into standardised housing bores. As this is an open bearing without sealing washers, sealing must be provided by adjacent housing covers.
The NU design denotes a non-locating bearing with two fixed flanges on the outer ring and a flangeless inner ring. The inner ring can be removed from either side. The bearing accommodates radial forces only and allows for axial length compensation of the shaft directly via the raceway, without generating any axial reaction forces.
The permissible temperature range is between -30 and +120 degrees. This range is limited by the built-in polyamide cage with the designation TVP2. Within this temperature range, the cage material retains its elastic properties and guides the rollers reliably even under continuous radial load.
The bearing is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance. This standard bearing clearance is suitable for standard fit conditions on the shaft and housing, as well as for typical operating temperatures. It prevents both excessive bearing play during operation and the rolling elements becoming jammed due to normal thermal expansion.
As the outer ring has no groove and no lubrication holes, the lubricant reaches the rolling elements and raceways from the side via the end faces. The open design allows for the use of either lubricating oil or grease, depending on the requirements of the entire drivetrain.
The bearing complies with tolerance class P0 or PN, which is equivalent to the ABEC 1 standard. This standard tolerance meets the requirements for the vast majority of industrial machinery applications and ensures dimensionally accurate fits when mounted on shafts and housings.
