The FAG NU213 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing offers high radial load-carrying capacity as a non-locating bearing with dimensions of 65 x 120 x 23 mm.
The NU213 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing in an open design. With a bore of 65 mm, an outside diameter of 120 mm and a width of 23 mm, it is primarily designed to accommodate heavy radial loads. As a non-locating bearing of the NU design, it has two fixed flanges on the outer ring, whilst the flangeless inner ring can be removed from both sides. This allows the bearing arrangement to compensate for thermal linear changes in the shaft without restriction.
This cylindrical roller bearing accommodates demanding radial loads in industrial bearing arrangements where axial displacement of the shaft must be permitted. Thanks to the line contact of the cylindrical rollers, the unit provides stiffer support than radial ball bearings of the same main dimensions. The separate assembly of the flangeless inner ring facilitates installation in assemblies with tight tolerances. By design, this type of bearing does not transmit axial forces.
The TVP2 version features a polyamide cage, which is notable for its low weight and promotes smooth running. The permissible temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees. The C3 designation indicates a slightly increased radial clearance compared with the standard version. This additional operating clearance compensates for thermal expansion when the bearing heats up or for tight fits on the shaft and housing, without the bearing becoming stressed.
This roller bearing has an inside diameter of 65 mm, an outside diameter of 120 mm and a width of 23 mm. These dimensions correspond to the standardised NU213 series and are decisive for the design of the shaft and housing bore.
In the NU design, the outer ring guides the rollers between two fixed flanges. The inner ring has no flanges and can be withdrawn from either side. This design allows for axial movement between the shaft and the housing directly within the bearing and facilitates the separate installation of both rings.
Radial bearing clearance group C3 is greater than the standard bearing clearance. It is recommended where the inner ring is expanded due to tight fits, or where temperature differences arise between the inner and outer rings during operation. The increased radial clearance prevents harmful preload on the rollers.
The suffix TVP2 denotes a polyamide window cage. This material absorbs shocks, operates quietly and has a low moment of inertia. The cage limits the permissible operating range to between -30 and +120 degrees.
The open bearing has no factory-fitted seals, so lubricant can be applied directly to the raceway. Lubrication is carried out as required using grease or oil via the housing, whilst sealing elements in the adjacent structure protect the bearing.
The bearing complies with tolerance class P0, or standard tolerance according to ISO, which is comparable to ABEC 1. This design meets the standard requirements for running accuracy and dimensional stability in general mechanical engineering.
