The SKF NU207 ECP cylindrical roller bearing, an open idler bearing measuring 35x72x17 mm, offers a high radial load-carrying capacity.
The SKF NU207 ECP cylindrical roller bearing, as a single-row roller bearing, accommodates high radial loads in mechanical engineering and plant construction. The Explorer design features an optimised internal structure that reduces friction and supports load-carrying capacity during operation. With a bore of 35 mm, an outside diameter of 72 mm and a width of 17 mm, the bearing is suitable for demanding industrial applications. As it is an open bearing, lubrication is provided by the surrounding structure.
This design is primarily used in bearing arrangements that have to withstand high radial loads. As a floating bearing, the NU design compensates for operational changes in the shaft’s length. The inner ring has no flanges, so axial displacement can occur freely on both sides within the bearing. This prevents excessive axial stresses caused by thermal expansion of the shaft.
The polyamide cage guides the cylindrical rollers precisely and is characterised by its low weight. The bearing operates within a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. Both sides of the inner ring can be completely removed. This feature facilitates both assembly and disassembly, as the inner and outer rings can be mounted separately on the shaft and housing. With standard radial clearance and a running accuracy of P6, the component ensures smooth running.
A single-row roller bearing from the SKF Explorer series with a 35 mm bore, 72 mm outer diameter and 17 mm width. It features an optimised internal geometry and can withstand high radial loads whilst maintaining a compact design.
In the NU design, the inner ring has no flanges, which means it can be moved axially in both directions and removed completely. This allows for the stress-free compensation of thermal expansion of the shaft within the housing.
The component is fitted with a polyamide cage. This cage material reduces the weight of the rotating masses, operates quietly and is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
This roller bearing combines the dimensional accuracy of class P0 or ABEC 1 with the higher running accuracy of class P6 or ABEC 3. This combination ensures high concentricity during operation.
As an open roller bearing without integrated sealing washers, the component requires external sealing of the surrounding structure. Lubrication is provided via the housing system, either with a suitable grease or lubricating oil.
