The FAG NUP313 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 single-row cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 65 × 140 × 33 mm, functions as a fixed bearing designed to accommodate high radial loads and provide axial guidance on both sides.
The NUP313 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing provides users with an open, single-row rolling bearing for demanding industrial applications. The component features fixed flanges and a loose flange disc, enabling it to guide shafts precisely in both axial directions. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, this design can withstand very high radial forces. The bearing is designed for a temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees and complies with the standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1.
This fixed bearing is used in bearing arrangements where high radial forces must be combined with axial guidance. Typical applications are found in mechanical engineering in designs with a defined fixed-floating bearing arrangement. Compared to ball bearings, cylindrical rollers have a larger line contact, which gives the bearing noticeably firm support and a high radial load capacity. As a result, the shaft remains precisely guided in its specified position even under high operating loads.
The suffixes denote specific features designed for demanding operating conditions. The TVP2 polyamide cage ensures low-noise guidance of the rolling elements whilst maintaining a low weight. The C3 designation indicates a slightly increased radial clearance. This additional operating clearance serves to compensate for thermal expansion caused by heating during operation, without the rollers seizing up. As this is an open bearing without an integrated seal and without a lubrication bore in the outer ring, the lubricant is supplied via the housing.
The NUP design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, one fixed flange on the inner ring and a loose flange disc. As a result, the NUP313 cylindrical roller bearing can accommodate high radial loads, provides additional support for the shaft in both axial directions and functions as a conventional fixed bearing.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 65 mm, an outer diameter of 140 mm and a width of 33 mm. It is a single-row cylindrical roller bearing of open design without built-in sealing washers.
The designation C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This version is suitable for operating conditions where there are temperature differences between the inner and outer rings, or where there are tight fits between the shaft and housing, which reduce the radial bearing clearance after installation.
The abbreviation TVP2 refers to a polyamide cage. This material is characterised by good damping properties, low weight and smooth guidance of the rolling elements. The cage is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
As this cylindrical roller bearing is of an open design and the outer ring has no lubrication groove or bore of its own, lubricant is supplied externally via the housing or a connected lubrication system. Depending on the requirements, either grease or oil is used.
The cylindrical roller bearing complies with the accuracy specifications of the standard tolerance class P0/PN, also known as ABEC 1. This tolerance class covers the standard dimensional and concentricity accuracies required for standardised industrial applications and drives.
