The FAG NUP309 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, with a 45 mm bore and a polyamide cage, provides a robust fixed-bearing guide for industrial drives.
The NUP309 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing designed for demanding radial loads in mechanical and plant engineering. As a fixed bearing, the design – featuring two fixed flanges on the outer ring and a fixed flange with a loose flange disc on the inner ring – also provides axial guidance for the shaft in both directions. With dimensions of 45 x 100 x 25 mm and standard radial clearance, this bearing is suitable for precisely guided shaft designs.
Design engineers and maintenance technicians primarily use this design in shaft bearings where, in addition to high radial forces, alternating axial guidance forces also occur. Thanks to the line contact of the cylindrical rollers, the component can withstand high radial loads. The operating temperature range extends from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius, enabling the bearing to cope with a wide range of industrial environmental conditions.
The NUP design secures components axially on both sides, meaning that no separate fixed bearing needs to be incorporated on the shaft. The integrated polyamide cage guides the rollers quietly and flexibly whilst having a low mass. As an open bearing without an integrated seal, the unit can be flexibly integrated into on-site lubrication systems. The P0/PN tolerance class confirms that it is manufactured to standard precision specifications for installation in standardised bearing seats.
This cylindrical roller bearing combines a high radial load-carrying capacity with a fixed-bearing function for axial shaft guidance on both sides. This single-row component features a lightweight polyamide cage, standard bearing clearance and standard tolerances in accordance with P0/PN. With dimensions of 45 mm bore, 100 mm outside diameter and 25 mm width, it meets common industrial requirements.
In the NUP design, the outer ring has two solid flanges, whilst the inner ring has one solid flange and one loose flange disc. This design enables the component to accommodate axial forces in both directions and, within the bearing arrangement, acts as a true fixed bearing for the axial positioning of the shaft.
The code TVP2 denotes a polyamide window cage. This type of cage is characterised by its low weight and good damping properties under dynamic loads. It retains its dimensional stability within the permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
As the component is designed as an open bearing without abiding sealing discs, the lubricant reaches the raceways and rolling elements directly. Depending on the design, lubrication is provided via a surrounding oil bath, a recirculating lubrication system or manual grease filling. External housing seals protect the interior of the bearing from the ingress of dirt.
This classification describes the standard accuracy for dimensional, form and running tolerances of rolling bearings in accordance with international guidelines. It enables the precise fitting of inner and outer rings onto standardised shaft and housing seats. For standard industrial applications, this tolerance class offers a suitable level of concentricity.
The specified operating temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. This limit is determined by the material properties of the polyamide cage and the thermal dimensional stability of the rings. When designing the bearing assembly, the selected lubricant must be suitable for the same temperature range.
