The SKF NUP308 ECP cylindrical roller bearing, with dimensions of 40x90x23 mm, offers high radial load-carrying capacity and provides axial support to the shaft on both sides.
This single-row NUP308 ECP cylindrical roller bearing from SKF, in the Explorer design, features an optimised internal design for demanding industrial applications. With a bore of 40 mm, an outside diameter of 90 mm and a width of 23 mm, the bearing can accommodate high radial loads. As an open design without an integrated seal, it can be flexibly integrated into existing lubrication systems using lubricating oil or rolling-element bearing grease.
This design is primarily used for mounting in applications where high radial loads occur and the shaft needs to be axially fixed at the same time. Thanks to the NUP design, the component functions as a fixed bearing: two fixed flanges on the outer ring and a fixed flange with a loose flange disc on the inner ring enable the transmission of axial guidance forces in both directions. The roller bearing is suitable for demanding shaft mountings with axial guidance on both sides.
The integrated polyamide cage (suffix ECP) is characterised by low friction and reduced weight, which promotes smooth running. The rolling bearing is designed for a temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees and has standard radial clearance. In terms of manufacture, this model combines dimensional accuracy of class P0/PN or ABEC 1 with enhanced running accuracy to P6 or ABEC 3 to minimise runout deviations.
This single-row fixed bearing has a 40 mm bore, an outer diameter of 90 mm and a width of 23 mm. It has two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring. This enables it to withstand high radial loads and guide the shaft in both axial directions.
The polyamide cage guides the cylindrical rollers with low frictional resistance and reduces the weight of the rotating mass. This ensures smooth guidance of the rolling elements within the permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
Whilst an NU bearing acts purely as a non-locating bearing and does not support any axial forces, the NJ design supports axial forces in one direction. The NUP version features an additional flange on the inner ring and acts as a true locating bearing that supports axial forces in both directions.
The dimensional accuracy complies with standard class P0 or ABEC 1. In terms of running accuracy, the bearing meets the tighter tolerance class P6 or ABEC 3, which contributes to the smooth concentricity of the shaft.
Open roller bearings do not have integrated sealing washers. This design allows lubricants to circulate freely within the unit and is suitable for housing designs featuring application-specific external sealing systems.
The bearing has standard radial clearance in accordance with the standard specification. This design covers the usual fit combinations and operating temperatures without the need for increased operating clearance.
