The FAG NUP307 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, with dimensions of 35x80x21 mm, offers high radial load-carrying capacity and axial guidance when used as a fixed bearing.
The NUP307 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing manufactured by FAG. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, this design can accommodate very high radial loads. As a fixed bearing in the NUP series, this version features fixed flanges and a loose flange disc. Consequently, the design guides a shaft axially in both directions. With a bore diameter of 35 mm, an outer diameter of 80 mm and a width of 21 mm, the bearing complies with standardised key dimensions.
This design is used when rolling bearings are subjected to high radial loads and, at the same time, the shaft needs to be axially fixed at both ends. Thanks to the open design without an integrated seal, lubricant can reach the rolling elements and raceways unhindered. The outer ring is designed without a lubrication groove, which is why lubricant is supplied via the housing environment or the inner ring.
The designation TVP2 denotes a solid polyamide cage, which ensures smooth running and reduces the weight of the moving parts. The suffix C3 indicates a slightly increased radial clearance compared with the standard version. This increased clearance compensates for thermal expansion during operation or fit allowances on the shaft and housing. The component is suitable for a permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
NUP-type bearings are used as fixed bearings for the axial guidance of a shaft on both sides. The outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring has one fixed flange and one loose flange disc. This arrangement accommodates not only predominant radial forces but also alternating axial guidance forces.
The main dimensions are 35 mm internal diameter (bore), 80 mm external diameter and 21 mm width. These dimensions are standardised and allow for direct interchangeability within the same size series in industrial housings and bearing seats.
The designation C3 indicates a larger radial clearance than that of standard bearings. This additional clearance prevents the rollers from seizing up should temperature differences arise between the inner and outer rings during operation, or should tight fits cause the raceways to narrow.
The cage, marked TVP2, is made of polyamide and guides the cylindrical rollers evenly within the rolling chamber. The material dampens vibrations, reduces running noise and keeps the moment of inertia low. The operating temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees.
As the open bearing does not have its own sealing washers, it must be lubricated with oil or roller bearing grease via the surrounding structure. External seals on the machine housing protect the bearing from the ingress of contaminants and prevent the lubricant from leaking out.
The bearing is manufactured to the standard tolerance P0 or PN, which corresponds to ABEC Class 1. This accuracy class fully meets the standard requirements for dimensional and concentricity tolerances in general industrial and mechanical engineering.
