The NUP306 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing from FAG Wälzlager is a single-row fixed bearing with a 30 mm bore, designed for high radial loads.
The NUP306 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing from FAG Wälzlager supports shafts axially in both directions whilst simultaneously withstanding significant radial forces. With dimensions of a 30 mm bore, 72 mm outside diameter and 19 mm width, this roller bearing meets standard industrial requirements. It is manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. This open-type bearing has a standard radial clearance. It is used in machine designs that require fixed axial guidance.
This cylindrical roller bearing is primarily suitable for mounting positions subject to high transverse forces and limited axial loads on both sides. As a fixed bearing, the NUP design secures the shaft axially relative to the housing by means of two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring. Typical applications include bearing arrangements with fixed shafts, where, in addition to radial loads, guiding forces on both sides must also be accommodated. The open design without a seal allows lubricant to be supplied directly via the housing.
The integrated polyamide cage (TVP2) maintains the cylindrical rollers at a defined distance and ensures quiet running. The cage’s low weight reduces inertial forces at varying speeds. The operating temperature range is specified as -30 to +120 degrees. As the outer ring is manufactured without a groove or lubrication bore, lubricant is supplied via the end face. The standard radial bearing clearance is designed for regular fits and standard operating conditions.
The bearing has a bore of 30 mm, an outer diameter of 72 mm and a width of 19 mm. These standardised key dimensions enable it to be fitted precisely into suitable housings and shaft seats. The single-row component is designed as an open roller bearing without integrated sealing washers.
The designation NUP refers to a fixed bearing capable of accommodating axial forces in both directions. The outer ring has two solid flanges, whilst the inner ring has one solid flange and one loose flange disc. As a result, this cylindrical roller bearing guides the mounted shaft axially within the housing without the need for separate thrust bearings.
Thanks to its low weight, the polyamide cage reduces the moving masses within the rolling bearing. This promotes smooth running and reduces heat build-up under dynamic loads. The material absorbs shocks in the rolling element ring. The permissible operating temperature range for this type of cage is between –30 and +120 degrees Celsius.
The standard radial bearing clearance refers to the standard radial clearance between the cylindrical rollers and the raceways when the bearing is in its unassembled state. It is designed for standard fit combinations and normal operating temperatures. Under conditions of moderate heating, sufficient operating clearance is therefore maintained to prevent the rolling elements from seizing up during operation.
As this bearing is manufactured without integrated seals and without a groove or lubrication hole in the outer ring, the lubricant is supplied axially from the side. Depending on the housing design, you can use greases or lubricating oils. External housing seals protect the raceways from dirt and prevent the lubricant from leaking out.
The component is manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. This corresponds to the standard specification for industrial roller bearings in accordance with international standards. The dimensional and concentricity tolerances are designed to suit the vast majority of industrial drive and machinery applications and allow for straightforward component replacement.
