The FAG NUP2212 -E-XL-M1-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 60x110x28 mm, offers high radial load-carrying capacity and axial guidance on both sides when used as a fixed bearing.
The single-row cylindrical roller bearing NUP2212 -E-XL-M1-C3 absorbs high radial forces thanks to the line contact of its rolling elements. With a bore of 60 mm, an outside diameter of 110 mm and a width of 28 mm, this rolling bearing complies with tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1). As an open fixed bearing, this design additionally guides the shaft in both axial directions, as fixed flanges on the outer ring and a loose flange disc on the inner ring provide support.
This design is primarily used in bearing arrangements where high radial forces are present and the shaft must simultaneously be axially fixed. Thanks to the flange arrangement on both sides, the design is suitable as a fixed bearing for guidance applications with a defined axial position. The open bearing allows lubricant to be supplied via the surrounding housing structure. The design is rated for operating temperatures ranging from –30 to +150 degrees Celsius.
The solid brass cage M1 guides the cylindrical rollers stably and is suitable for bearing arrangements subject to dynamic loads or vibrations. The slightly increased radial clearance (C3) compensates for operational heating as well as tight-tolerance shaft or housing seats without the bearing becoming stressed. As the outer ring has no groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant is supplied via the end faces of the bearing.
The NUP design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, as well as one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring. This enables the bearing to withstand high radial forces whilst simultaneously securing the shaft in both axial directions. It is specifically designed for bearing arrangements requiring a defined axial guidance function.
The bearing has an internal diameter of 60 mm, an external diameter of 110 mm and a width of 28 mm. These dimensions comply with current standards. The component is designed as a single-row cylindrical roller bearing and is manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1.
The suffix C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This internal reserve prevents the rolling elements from becoming jammed when temperature differences occur between the inner and outer rings during operation, or when tight fits cause the inner ring to expand. It ensures smooth, even running under thermal loads.
Brass is characterised by high strength, good run-out properties and vibration damping. The M1 cage maintains a fixed distance between the rollers and retains its dimensional stability even under high acceleration or sudden radial forces. It enables the bearing to be used in demanding industrial operating conditions.
As this bearing is supplied without integrated seals, the lubricant must be supplied via the housing. Depending on the design, greases or oils rated for an operating temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees Celsius are suitable. External housing seals protect the rolling element system from contamination and lubricant loss.
The bearing is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +150 degrees Celsius. Within this range, the bearing rings, rollers and brass cage remain dimensionally stable. When selecting the lubricant, care must be taken to ensure that it also reliably covers the respective minimum and maximum temperatures at the bearing location.
