The FAG NUP212 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 single-row cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 60 × 110 × 22 mm, withstands high radial loads and acts as a fixed bearing to support shafts axially.
The NUP212 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing for industrial applications. With an inner diameter of 60 mm, an outer diameter of 110 mm and a width of 22 mm, this radial roller bearing withstands high radial loads. In the NUP design, it acts as a fixed bearing – guiding shafts axially in both directions – thanks to fixed flanges on the outer ring and a loose flange disc on the inner ring. The open bearing is designed for operation in a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
This fixed bearing design is suitable for bearing arrangements in which a shaft must bear radial loads and be guided axially in both directions. As the outer ring has no groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant is supplied via the surrounding structure. The open bearing is intended for protected installation spaces where an external seal protects the bearing location from contaminants and moisture.
The TVP2 cage, made of polyamide, keeps the roller elements spaced apart and is characterised by its low weight. The C3 designation indicates a slightly increased radial clearance compared with the standard series. This variant is recommended where shaft heating or temperature differences between the inner and outer rings are to be expected during operation. The increased radial clearance prevents thermal stress. The manufacture complies with tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1.
With a cylindrical bore of 60 mm, an outside diameter of 110 mm and a width of 22 mm, this cylindrical roller bearing complies with standardised key dimensions. Aligning these dimensions on the shaft and bearing housing ensures precise fitting.
Two solid flanges on the outer ring, together with one solid flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring, enable the bearing to accommodate axial forces from both directions. This arrangement secures the shaft axially and, in combination with a floating bearing, turns the component into a fixed bearing.
The designation TVP2 refers to a polyamide cage which guides the rollers and reduces the component weight compared with metal cages. The elastic material reduces vibrations during rotational movements and ensures smooth running of the bearing assembly.
The C3 version offers greater radial bearing clearance than the standard version. This clearance prevents the bearing from seizing up as a result of operational heating. If the shaft and housing reach different operating temperatures, or if tight fits reduce the clearance, the C3 bearing clearance ensures that the bearing remains free to rotate.
The permissible operating range is between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius. As an open bearing, the bearing housing requires external sealing of the mounting spaces, as well as grease or lubricating oil suitable for the respective operating temperature.
The roller bearing is manufactured to tolerance class P0, which also corresponds to the designations PN or ABEC 1. This classification defines the permissible concentricity and dimensional tolerances for standard fits in mechanical engineering.
