The NJ313 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing (65x140x33 mm) serves as a support bearing for high radial loads with single-sided axial guidance.
The NJ313 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing from FAG Wälzlager is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for demanding bearing applications. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, this bearing can accommodate high radial loads. With key dimensions of a 65 mm bore, 140 mm outer diameter and 33 mm width, this design fits into standardised housing bores. Designed as an open bearing, the bearing location requires external sealing and lubrication via the surrounding structure.
The NJ design functions as a support bearing: it transmits high radial loads and additionally accommodates axial forces from one direction. The inner ring has a fixed flange and can be removed from one side, which facilitates the separate assembly of the inner and outer rings. Typical applications include shaft mountings where axial fixation in one direction is required, whilst thermal length changes in the opposite direction are compensated for by the bearing.
The TVP2 design features a low-mass polyamide cage, which ensures smooth running and is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees. In addition, the increased C3 bearing clearance compensates for thermal expansion when temperature gradients occur between the shaft and housing during operation or when tight fits are selected. The bearing complies with tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1) and has an outer ring without a lubrication groove, so that lubricant is fed directly into the interior.
The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This makes the design suitable for use as a support bearing that accommodates radial loads as well as axial forces in one direction. Furthermore, the inner ring can be removed from one side, which facilitates installation and removal.
The cylindrical roller bearing has an inner diameter of 65 mm, an outer diameter of 140 mm and a width of 33 mm. Thanks to these standardised key dimensions, the roller bearing can be integrated with a precise fit into existing housing designs and bearing seats of the corresponding size series.
The designation C3 indicates an increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This additional operating clearance prevents the rollers from seizing up when tight fits on the shaft and housing reduce the bearing clearance, or when temperature differences arise between the inner and outer rings during operation.
The permissible temperature range is between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius. This range is essentially limited by the built-in polyamide cage (TVP2). Within this thermal window, the material retains its dimensional stability and guides the cylindrical rollers evenly within the rolling element ring.
As this bearing is supplied without integrated sealing washers and without a lubrication groove in the outer ring, grease or oil is supplied via the surrounding housing structure. External seals on the housing cover also protect the interior of the bearing from the ingress of contaminants and moisture.
The designation TVP2 refers to a lightweight polyamide cage. This material dampens vibrations during operation and reduces inertial forces when the speed changes. As a result, the plastic cage ensures smooth running of the cylindrical rollers and reduces noise from the bearing assembly.
