The FAG NJ2326 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing combines a bore diameter of 130 mm with high radial load capacity and axial support in one direction.
The NJ2326 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing designed for industrial applications involving high radial forces. As an open support bearing from FAG, this model features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one flange on the inner ring. As a result, the bearing accommodates not only primarily radial forces but also axial guidance forces in one direction. With main dimensions of 130 x 280 x 93 mm, the component is primarily used in heavy machinery and gearboxes where guidance accuracy is required.
This cylindrical roller bearing is suitable for mounting positions where high radial forces occur and, at the same time, a shaft needs to be guided in an axial direction. Typical applications include gearbox shafts and industrial drives where shaft guidance and load support are combined. As the inner ring is removable from one side, the bearing compensates for changes in the shaft’s length in the non-flanged direction. The open design requires lubrication via the surrounding housing structure.
The -E-M1 version features a solid brass cage which guides the rollers even under vibration or shock loads. At the same time, the NJ design allows for separate assembly of the inner and outer rings, which facilitates installation in confined spaces. When selecting a bearing, designers should note that the bearing is manufactured to tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1) with standard radial clearance and covers a temperature range from –30 to +150 degrees.
With an internal diameter of 130 mm, an external diameter of 280 mm and a width of 93 mm, the bearing defines the mounting space on the shaft and within the housing. The single-row cylindrical roller arrangement ensures linear load transmission across this width.
As a thrust bearing, the NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one flange on the inner ring. This design supports axial forces in one direction. In the opposite direction, there is axial clearance, which allows operational thermal expansion of the shaft to be compensated for without constraint.
The component is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees Celsius. The dimensional stability of the rings and the properties of the brass cage cover this range. To ensure smooth operation, the lubricant selected by the customer must be suitable for the respective operating temperature.
The solid brass cage is characterised by its high resistance to vibrations, inertial forces and accelerations. Brass has favourable sliding properties in relation to the rolling elements. This makes this bearing suitable for demanding applications in heavy machinery.
As an open bearing without integrated seals, lubrication is provided by applying oil or roller bearing grease to the entire assembly. As the outer ring has no groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant must be fed to the rollers from the side and retained within the system by external seals.
The component is manufactured with a standard radial bearing clearance and the standard tolerances of class P0 or PN (comparable to ABEC 1). This design is suitable for standard fit selections on shafts and housings, as well as for standard operating temperatures during operation.
