The FAG NJ2320 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 100 × 215 × 73 mm, provides support for high radial forces in mechanical engineering.
With the NJ2320 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, you are choosing a single-row rolling bearing for demanding industrial applications. The combination of solid bearing rings and cylindrical rollers accommodates high radial loads. Designed as an open bearing, this version can be specifically lubricated via the surrounding housing. FAG manufactures the bearing with standard tolerances (P0/PN or ABEC 1) and standard radial clearance for a wide range of operating conditions.
The NJ2320 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing primarily functions as a support bearing for shaft guides subjected to combined loads. Due to the NJ design, the outer ring has two solid flanges, whilst the inner ring has one solid flange. In addition to high radial forces, this design also accommodates axial forces from one direction. In the opposite direction, the bearing allows for axial displacement, thereby compensating for thermal length changes in the shaft during operation.
The integrated polyamide cage guides the rolling elements through the raceway with low vibration and reduced noise. The low inherent weight of the material reduces inertial forces during changes in rotational speed. The bearing is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. As the inner ring can be removed from one side, workshop managers and maintenance engineers benefit from simplified installation, as both bearing rings can be pressed on separately.
The dimensions are 100 mm internal diameter, 215 mm external diameter and 73 mm width. These standardised key dimensions allow for installation in corresponding housing bores and on precision-machined shaft seats in industrial mechanical engineering.
In the NJ configuration, the bearing has two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one flange on the inner ring. This allows the bearing to accommodate axial forces in one direction. In the opposite direction, there is free axial movement, which compensates for longitudinal expansion of the shaft during operation.
The cage, marked TVP2, is made of polyamide and guides the rolling elements smoothly and quietly along the raceway. The low weight of the material reduces centrifugal forces during rotational movement. The permissible operating temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees.
As there are no integrated sealing washers and no lubrication bore in the outer ring, the lubricant is supplied via the housing design. External seals in the housing cover serve to keep contaminants out and to retain the lubricant within the bearing chamber.
The separable inner ring allows for greater flexibility when installing shaft bearings. The outer ring, together with the set of rollers, and the inner ring can be fitted separately onto the shaft and the housing. This prevents damage to the raceways during assembly.
