The FAG NJ2313 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing (65x140x48 mm) is designed as a single-row support bearing for heavy radial loads with single-sided axial guidance.
The FAG NJ2313 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing with a bore diameter of 65 mm, an outer diameter of 140 mm and a width of 48 mm. Compared to balls, the cylindrical rollers provide line contact, which enables high radial forces to be accommodated whilst maintaining a compact design. In the NJ version, the rolling bearing has two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This design allows the bearing to accommodate additional unidirectional axial forces, whilst the inner ring remains removable for installation.
This design is primarily used in bearing arrangements subject to very high radial forces and axial guidance forces from a single direction. The support bearing design allows a shaft to be guided axially in one direction, whilst the counter-bearing accommodates thermal linear expansion.
As an open bearing without integrated seals, the component is fitted directly into a lubricated housing. This allows the lubricant to reach the rolling elements and raceways of the bearing assembly unhindered.
The designation TVP2 stands for a dimensionally stable polyamide cage, which ensures quiet running and low friction. In conjunction with the increased radial clearance (C3), the bearing compensates for operational heating or tight fits. This reduces the risk of the rolling elements becoming stressed during operation.
The permissible temperature range extends from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius and is determined by the cage material. As the outer ring has no groove or lubrication bore, lubricant is supplied axially via the installation environment. With the standard tolerance P0 or ABEC 1, the bearing meets standard industrial accuracy requirements.
With a bore of 65 mm, an outer diameter of 140 mm and a width of 48 mm, the bearing complies with the standardised main dimensions. The inner ring has a solid flange and can be pulled off to one side, which facilitates the separate installation of the inner and outer rings in the housing.
The designation NJ refers to a cylindrical roller bearing with two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one flange on the inner ring. This configuration enables the bearing to support radial forces as well as unilateral axial forces. In the opposite direction, the bearing allows for axial displacement of the shaft relative to the housing.
The designation C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This additional clearance compensates for deflection, tight fits on the shaft and housing, and thermal expansion caused by temperature differences between the inner and outer rings.
The TVP2 cage is made of polyamide and guides the cylindrical rollers whilst being lightweight. The material absorbs impact loads, reduces friction noise and ensures smooth running. This component has an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
The bearing has no factory-fitted sealing washers and no lubrication channel on the outer ring. Oil or grease is supplied directly via the connecting structure of the bearing housing. An external seal in the machine housing is required to keep the lubricant within the bearing chamber.
The roller bearing is manufactured to tolerance class P0 (standard tolerance PN), which corresponds to the ABEC 1 classification. This classification defines the dimensional and concentricity tolerances for standard industrial accuracy requirements for shaft seats and housing bores.
