The FAG NJ2312 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row support bearing with a 60 mm bore, designed for high radial loads and single-sided axial forces.
The NJ2312 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing from FAG Rolling Bearings, as a radial roller bearing, can withstand very high radial forces. Thanks to the line contact of the cylindrical rollers, the design can withstand high loads. This model has a bore diameter of 60 mm, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 46 mm. As an open bearing, it can be integrated into existing lubrication systems.
As a support bearing of the NJ design, this roller bearing guides the shaft in an axial direction, whilst the inner ring remains removable from one side. This separability facilitates mounting on the shaft. Typical applications include designs in which, in addition to high radial forces, unilateral axial guiding forces are also present. The open design requires a housing seal to be fitted on site, as well as a lubricant supply.
The integrated polyamide cage guides the rollers quietly and, thanks to its low weight, reduces inertial forces at varying speeds. In combination with the increased radial clearance (C3), the bearing is suitable for operating conditions involving thermal expansion of the shaft. At operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees, the increased radial clearance compensates for thermal expansion. The bearing is manufactured to tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1.
With an internal diameter of 60 mm, an external diameter of 130 mm and a width of 46 mm, the component complies with the specified main dimensions. The outer ring has no groove or lubrication bore, which is why the lubricant must be supplied via the bearing housing.
The NJ design is characterised by two solid flanges on the outer ring and one solid flange on the inner ring. This enables the bearing to accommodate axial forces in one direction and act as a support bearing. The inner ring can be withdrawn from one side, allowing the shaft and housing to be fitted separately.
The suffix designation C3 indicates an increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. It allows the rolling elements more freedom of movement when the bearing is unloaded. This is useful when thermal effects or tight fits cause the shaft to expand, thereby reducing the radial clearance during operation.
The polyamide cage is characterised by its low weight and smooth running properties. It dampens vibrations, operates quietly and performs well during rapid changes in speed. The material is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
Without integrated sealing washers, the bearing is designed for installation in locations where a housing seal prevents the escape of lubricant and the ingress of dirt. This design allows lubrication with oil or grease via the machine housing and facilitates inspection of the raceways.
The dimensional and running tolerances of this cylindrical roller bearing comply with tolerance classes P0 and PN respectively, in accordance with ISO, and ABEC 1 in accordance with US standards. This denotes the standard precision required for mechanical engineering. It ensures a defined concentricity and dimensional stability for common fits on the shaft and in the bearing housing.
