The FAG NJ2310 -E-XL-M1A-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 50x110x40 mm, is designed to withstand high radial loads and unilateral axial forces in mechanical engineering applications.
The NJ2310 -E-XL-M1A-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for demanding industrial applications involving high radial forces. As an open bearing without an integrated seal, it runs directly within the lubricated housing. Thanks to the line contact of the cylindrical rollers, the design distributes mechanical loads evenly across the raceway. This design makes the roller bearing suitable for industrial shaft mountings where radial load capacity and axial guidance are required.
This cylindrical roller bearing primarily serves as a support bearing for shaft guides that must accommodate not only high radial loads but also axial forces from one direction. Due to the NJ design, the outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring has one flange and remains removable from one side. This allows for axial displacement in one direction and simplifies the separate mounting of the inner and outer rings in a housing or on a shaft.
The solid brass cage (M1A), which is mounted on the outer rim, guides the rollers accurately even under vibration or dynamic loads. The slightly increased radial clearance (C3) compensates for thermal expansion during operation when the shaft and housing are at different temperatures or when tight fits are specified. The component covers a temperature range from -30 to +150 degrees and complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1.
This cylindrical roller bearing has an inner diameter of 50 mm, an outer diameter of 110 mm and a width across flats of 40 mm. The outer ring is designed without a lubrication groove or lubrication bore. These dimensions allow the component to be fitted precisely into standardised housing designs and bearing seats.
The NJ design acts as a thrust bearing and absorbs axial forces in one direction. The outer ring has two fixed guide flanges, whilst the inner ring has one flange. In the opposite direction, the design allows for axial displacement of the shaft relative to the housing.
A solid brass cage with an external guide provides mechanical stability under dynamic loads or vibrations. The guide on the outer ring ensures precise alignment of the roller elements. As a result, the roller row runs smoothly and stays on track during operation, even under varying load conditions.
Bearing clearance class C3 denotes increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This additional clearance prevents the rolling elements from becoming stressed when operational heating causes the shaft or inner ring to expand. This ensures that the required operating clearance is maintained even with tight fits.
The open roller bearing is designed for use within a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees. Within these limits, the bearing rings and brass cage retain their dimensional stability. When selecting a lubricant, users must ensure that the grease or oil is approved for these operating temperatures.
This component is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0/PN, which corresponds to the ABEC 1 classification. This class defines the permissible dimensional and running tolerances for industrial applications. It ensures reliable fitting accuracy in standard installation situations within general mechanical and plant engineering.
