The FAG NJ2306 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing (30x72x27 mm) accommodates high radial loads as well as unilateral axial forces with a slightly increased C3 bearing clearance.
The NJ2306 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing from FAG with a 30 mm bore, 72 mm outer diameter and 27 mm width. Designed as a support bearing, the NJ version combines two solid flanges on the outer ring with a solid flange on the inner ring. This design accommodates heavy radial loads and guides shafts axially in one direction. Thanks to the integrated TVP2 polyamide cage, the bearing operates quietly. The permissible temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees.
This single-row cylindrical roller bearing is suitable for bearing arrangements subject to high radial forces, where additional axial guiding forces also act in one direction. Typical applications include general mechanical engineering and industrial powertrains. As the inner ring can be removed from one side, both bearing rings can be fitted independently of one another. As an open bearing design, the bearing housing requires external sealing and a continuous supply of lubricant via the surrounding structure.
The NJ design serves as a support bearing and allows axial displacement in one direction, whilst the inner ring flange provides support in the opposite direction. The slightly increased radial clearance (C3) compensates for thermal expansion at operating temperatures up to +120 degrees as well as fit oversizes during operation. The polyamide cage reduces the moving mass of the roller guide. As the outer ring is designed without a groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant must be supplied from the housing side.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 30 mm, an outer diameter of 72 mm and a width of 27 mm. The outer ring is cylindrical in design and has no lubrication groove or bores.
The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This enables the unit to function as a support bearing, which withstands high radial forces and provides single-sided axial guidance for the shaft. The inner ring can be removed separately to facilitate assembly.
The designation C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. The additional radial clearance reduces the risk of stress on the cylindrical rollers should temperature differences arise between the inner and outer rings during operation, or should tight fits reduce the bearing clearance.
The abbreviation TVP2 denotes a polyamide cage. This cage material is characterised by its low weight and elastic properties. It guides the roller row smoothly and is designed for an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
As this cylindrical roller bearing has an open design and no sealing washers, it is lubricated using grease or oil in the bearing housing. As the outer ring has no lubrication bore, the lubricant must be fed to the cylindrical rollers from the side.
This cylindrical roller bearing complies with tolerance class P0 (standard tolerance PN, comparable to ABEC 1). This manufacturing precision meets the usual requirements in industrial mechanical engineering and for standard drives.
