The FAG NJ2305 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing accommodates high radial loads with a 25 mm bore and supports axial forces on one side.
The NJ2305 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing with line contact between the rollers and raceways. Thanks to this design, the FAG version can withstand high radial forces. The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. As a result, the bearing assembly acts as a support bearing, guiding shafts in one axial direction whilst allowing axial movement in the opposite direction.
Design engineers and maintenance engineers use this roller bearing when shaft supports need to absorb high radial forces. Thanks to its support bearing function, the unit compensates for thermal length changes in the shaft in one direction, whilst supporting forces in the opposite direction. Typical applications include single-sided guidance arrangements. The open bearing can be integrated directly into existing lubrication systems.
The polyamide cage (TVP2) reduces the weight of the rotating rolling element assembly and promotes quiet operation. The increased radial clearance (C3) provides additional radial play. This compensation prevents the rolling elements from seizing up if temperature differences occur between the shaft and housing during operation, or if tight fits cause the inner ring to expand. The permissible temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees.
The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This allows the bearing to function as a thrust bearing: it absorbs axial forces in one direction, whilst the shaft can move axially in the opposite direction. Furthermore, the inner ring can be removed from one side for installation.
This single-row cylindrical roller bearing has an inner diameter of 25 mm, an outer diameter of 62 mm and a width across flats of 24 mm. These dimensions enable it to accommodate high radial loads whilst maintaining a compact design.
The suffix TVP2 indicates a polyamide cage. This cage guides the cylindrical rollers with precision and low noise. Its low weight reduces centrifugal forces during rotation, which has a positive effect on running performance.
The designation C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance. This additional clearance compensates for fit allowances during installation and thermal expansion during operation, ensuring that the rollers can roll freely in the raceways without jamming.
The manufacturer FAG specifies the NJ2305 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. The integrated polyamide cage limits the upper end of this range and requires a lubricant that operates within these limits.
The bearing complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. This defines the standardised accuracy for dimensional and running tolerances and ensures a precise fit during replacement or as original equipment.
