The FAG NJ222 -E-XL-M1-C3 cylindrical roller bearing offers high radial load-carrying capacity with dimensions of 110 x 200 x 38 mm and is suitable for use as a single-row support bearing.
The NJ222 -E-XL-M1-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing from FAG in an open design. Designed as a support bearing, it features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring, enabling the bearing to accommodate not only very high radial forces but also axial guidance forces in one direction. As the inner ring can be removed from one side, the separate installation of the shaft and housing is particularly cost-effective.
This roller bearing is primarily used in general mechanical engineering, heavy-duty gearboxes and industrial drive systems. Thanks to the line contact between the rolling elements and raceways, the design withstands high radial loads whilst maintaining high dimensional stability. In combination with a suitable mating bearing, the NJ design compensates for thermal linear changes in the shaft in the axial direction, whilst maintaining guidance in one direction.
The suffix M1 denotes a solid brass cage which guides the rollers and demonstrates high strength even under severe vibrations or rapid accelerations. The increased radial clearance (C3) compensates for thermally induced expansion when the bearing heats up during operation. This open-design component is suitable for a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees Celsius and allows you to freely select an application-specific lubricant via the surrounding housing.
With a bore diameter of 110 mm, an outside diameter of 200 mm and a width of 38 mm, the bearing fits into standardised housing seats. These dimensions enable it to be fitted precisely into housing bores and onto shafts of the appropriate design.
The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This allows the bearing to act as a support bearing: in addition to radial forces, it also absorbs axial forces in one direction, whilst permitting axial shaft displacement in the opposite direction.
The designation C3 indicates a larger radial bearing clearance than the standard clearance. This increased clearance between the cylindrical rollers and the raceways prevents the rolling elements from seizing up when temperature differences occur between the inner and outer rings during operation, or when tight fits are used.
The solid brass cage M1 is characterised by its strength, low friction and good run-on properties. It maintains the correct spacing between the cylindrical rollers and is suitable for industrial applications involving fluctuating speeds, vibrations or impact forces.
As the bearing is manufactured without integrated seals, grease or lubricating oil is supplied externally via the bearing housing design. You can tailor the lubricant precisely to the operating temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees Celsius and the relevant environmental conditions.
The roller bearing complies with tolerance class P0 or PN, which corresponds to international standard class ABEC 1. This standard accuracy class meets the typical concentricity and dimensional requirements for standard applications in industrial machinery and plant engineering.
