The FAG NJ2207 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, with a 35 mm bore and C3 clearance, offers a robust support bearing solution for high radial loads.
The FAG NJ2207 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing designed to withstand high radial loads. With key dimensions of a 35 mm bore diameter, 72 mm outer diameter and 23 mm width, this open bearing complies with the standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. Thanks to its NJ design, the bearing serves as a support bearing. The inner ring can be removed from one side, which facilitates the separate assembly of the inner and outer rings in the workshop.
This single-row cylindrical roller bearing is used where high radial forces are present and the shaft needs to be guided axially in one direction. As the NJ design allows for axial displacement in the opposite direction, it compensates for linear expansion of the shaft. Typical applications include shaft mountings in general mechanical engineering with single-sided guidance. Due to its open design without an integrated seal, you can integrate the bearing directly into the machine’s lubrication circuit.
The designation TVP2 indicates a solid polyamide cage which precisely guides the cylindrical rollers and ensures quiet, low-friction operation. The additional designation C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance. This design is suitable where temperature differences occur between the inner and outer rings during operation, or where tight fits reduce the radial bearing clearance. An operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees is permitted.
With an internal diameter of 35 mm, an external diameter of 72 mm and a width of 23 mm, the bearing complies with standardised installation dimensions. Thanks to these dimensions and tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1), the component can be fitted precisely into the corresponding bearing seats and housings.
In the NJ design, the outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring has one fixed flange. As a result, the bearing absorbs axial forces from one direction and acts as a single-sided support bearing. In the opposite direction, the design allows for axial displacement, thereby compensating for thermal length changes in the shaft.
The suffix C3 indicates a radially increased clearance compared with the standard version. This increased clearance between the rollers and the raceway prevents jamming if the rings expand due to heat build-up during operation or are radially constricted by tight fits on the shaft and housing.
The designation TVP2 refers to a window cage made of polyamide. This material is lightweight and operates quietly. It also reduces friction on the rollers, which minimises heat build-up. The permissible temperature range for the bearing is between -30 and +120 degrees.
As the NJ2207 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is supplied without sealing washers, the bearing housing requires external sealing. You can operate the bearing using either grease or lubricating oil. As the outer ring has neither lubrication grooves nor lubrication holes, the lubricant is supplied directly from the side via the open end faces.
Due to the separable design of NJ cylindrical roller bearings, the inner ring can be removed from one side. This means that the inner and outer rings can be fitted to the shaft and housing independently of one another. This simplifies the installation process in the workshop and facilitates subsequent maintenance and inspection work.
