The FAG NJ322 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, with a 110 mm bore, offers high radial load-carrying capacity and C3 clearance for demanding industrial applications.
The FAG NJ322 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing designed for heavy radial loads in mechanical and plant engineering. With main dimensions of 110 × 240 × 50 mm, this design is suitable for shaft mountings requiring high force transmission. As an open bearing, it can be flexibly integrated into existing lubrication circuits. Manufactured to tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1, it supports standardised fit dimensions for industrial repairs and new designs.
This bearing accommodates high radial forces and, thanks to its NJ design, also serves as a support bearing. The inner ring has a fixed flange and can be removed from one side. This allows the bearing to compensate for axial displacement of the shaft in one direction, whilst accommodating axial forces from the opposite direction. Typical applications include gearboxes and heavy-duty drive shafts where operational changes in shaft length occur.
The designation TVP2 stands for a polyamide cage, which promotes quiet running and low friction. The permissible temperature range is from –30 to +120 degrees. The increased radial clearance (C3) helps to ensure that the bearing does not become stressed due to operational heating or tight fits. When designing the bearing arrangement, it must be noted that the outer ring has no lubrication groove. Lubricant is therefore supplied via the open end face of the bearing housing.
The main dimensions are 110 mm internal diameter (bore), 240 mm external diameter and 50 mm width. These dimensions comply with the standardised specifications for tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. When replacing a shaft or carrying out repairs, you can therefore fit the bearing precisely onto correspondingly machined bearing seats.
The NJ design denotes a cylindrical roller bearing that functions as a support bearing. The outer ring has two solid flanges, whilst the inner ring has one solid flange. As a result, the bearing absorbs axial forces from one direction but allows axial displacement of the shaft in the opposite direction. Furthermore, the inner ring can be removed from one side, which facilitates installation.
The suffix TVP2 indicates a polyamide cage. This material is characterised by its low weight and its vibration-damping properties. Polyamide cages help ensure smooth running and reduce dynamic loads during rapid changes in speed in industrial applications.
The designation C3 indicates an increased radial bearing clearance compared with standard conditions. This clearance is recommended for higher operating temperatures, significant heat dissipation via the shaft, or in the case of fixed oversize fits. The increased radial clearance helps to ensure that the rolling elements do not jam, even when the rings expand due to operational heat.
The permissible operating temperature range is between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius. As this is an open bearing without integrated seals, grease or lubricating oil must be supplied externally via the housing. In addition, suitable housing seals should be fitted to prevent dirt and moisture from entering the raceways.
As the outer ring is manufactured without a groove or lubrication holes, the lubricant reaches the roller sets from the side via the open end faces. When designing the bearing housing, lubrication channels or grease nipples should be positioned so that grease or oil can be applied directly into the space between the cage and the bearing rings.
