The SKF NUP2209 ECP cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row fixed bearing measuring 45 × 85 × 23 mm, designed for high radial loads and axial guidance on both sides.
The NUP2209 ECP cylindrical roller bearing is an open, single-row rolling bearing with a bore of 45 mm, an outer diameter of 85 mm and a width of 23 mm. As a fixed bearing, this SKF design withstands high radial loads and also guides the shaft in both axial directions. The Explorer design features an optimised internal construction. The bearing operates with standard radial clearance within a temperature range of -30 to +120 °C.
This rolling bearing is suitable for bearing arrangements in which high transverse forces are accompanied by axial forces acting in both directions. Thanks to the line contact of the cylindrical rollers, the bearing absorbs high radial loads with high rigidity. The NUP geometry ensures precise guidance of the shaft in both axial directions relative to the housing. As there are no integrated seals, protection against contamination is provided by the surrounding housing.
Two fixed flanges on the outer ring, as well as one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring, provide positive support for axial forces in both directions. The polyamide cage ensures low-friction guidance of the rolling elements and reduces the component weight. Dimensional accuracy to tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1) and running accuracy to P6 (ABEC 3) define the manufacturing tolerances for the operating temperature range of –30 to +120 °C.
The cylindrical roller bearing has a bore of 45 mm, an outer diameter of 85 mm and a width of 23 mm. The outer ring is designed without a lubrication hole or groove. With these key dimensions, the open fixed bearing fits precisely into corresponding housing bores and shaft seats.
As a fixed bearing, this design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and combines a fixed flange with a loose flange disc on the inner ring. This arrangement absorbs radial loads via the rollers whilst simultaneously guiding the mounted shaft in both axial directions by a positive fit.
The ECP version combines an optimised internal design with a lightweight polyamide cage. The polyamide cage ensures low-friction operation of the cylindrical rollers. The optimised internal design of the Explorer series helps to ensure favourable stress distribution along the raceways.
Due to the open design, which does not feature factory-fitted sealing washers, external housing seals provide protection against dirt and moisture. Lubrication is provided by grease or lubricating oil, which must be suitable for the permissible operating range of -30 to +120 °C.
The bearing is manufactured with standard radial clearance. In terms of tolerances, this design combines dimensional accuracy to tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1 with increased running accuracy to tolerance class P6 or ABEC 3, ensuring smooth operation.
The operating temperature range is from -30 to +120 °C. Both the dimensional stability of the bearing rings and the temperature resistance of the polyamide cage are designed for this operating range. The selection of a suitable lubricant helps to ensure reliable operation within this range.
