The FAG NU2213 -E-XL-M1-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 65x120x31 mm, offers high radial load capacity, C3 clearance and a robust brass cage as the idler bearing.
The NU2213 -E-XL-M1-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. With dimensions of 65 mm bore, 120 mm outer diameter and 31 mm width, this FAG roller bearing design can withstand significant radial forces. Designed as an open bearing, it can be flexibly integrated into existing lubrication systems. The solid brass cage guides the cylindrical rollers accurately, whilst the standard tolerance of tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1 ensures standardised fitting accuracy during shaft assembly.
This bearing is primarily used as a floating bearing in industrial bearing arrangements where operational length changes in the shaft need to be compensated for. Due to the NU design, the outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring is flangeless and removable from both sides. As a result, when heated, the shaft slides axially within the bearing without generating any constraining forces. The permissible temperature range extends from –30 to +150 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for use in industrial environments subject to thermal stress.
The version with the suffix M1 features a solid brass cage that retains its dimensional stability even under vibrations and higher accelerations. In combination with the slightly increased radial clearance (C3), the required operating clearance is maintained even in the event of thermal expansion or tighter fits. When purchasing this roller bearing, please note its open design without seals, which requires a clean installation environment. The outer ring is designed without a groove or lubrication bore.
With a bore of 65 mm, an outside diameter of 120 mm and a width of 31 mm, this single-row roller bearing complies with tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1. This means it fits precisely into standardised housing bores and onto corresponding shaft seats.
In the NU design, the outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring is manufactured without flanges. The inner ring can be removed from either side. This design acts purely as a non-locating bearing and compensates for operational length changes in the shaft axially, directly between the rollers and the inner ring raceway.
The designation C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This additional clearance prevents the rolling elements from becoming jammed if temperature differences arise between the inner and outer rings during operation, or if tight fits on the shaft and housing reduce the radial clearance after installation.
The model, designated M1, features a solid brass cage offering high mechanical strength. It reliably guides the cylindrical rollers within the raceway, even at varying speeds or in the presence of vibrations, and is suitable for demanding applications.
As this roller bearing is manufactured without integrated seals, lubrication is provided by oil or grease directly inside the housing. As the outer ring has no groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant passes laterally past the rolling elements into the interior of the bearing. An external housing seal protects the bearing location from the ingress of dirt.
The permissible temperature range is between -30 and +150 degrees Celsius. The dimensionally stable bearing rings and the brass cage cover this range in industrial applications. In practice, the temperature range of the selected grease or lubricating oil is always a decisive factor in determining the thermal operating limit.
