The FAG NJ2215 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing offers high radial load-carrying capacity with dimensions of 75x130x31 mm and increased C3 clearance.
The FAG NJ2215 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. With a bore of 75 mm, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 31 mm, the design can withstand very high radial loads. The line contact of the cylindrical rollers gives the component high rigidity. The open bearing operates without an integrated seal and is suitable for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
Designs subject to high radial loads and single-sided axial guidance specifically utilise the NJ design as a support bearing. Typical applications include shaft mountings in mechanical engineering where transverse forces predominate. As the inner ring can be removed from one side, the roller bearing can be fitted separately onto the shaft and housing. The bearing transmits high radial forces, supports axial loads from one direction and allows axial displacement in the opposite direction.
The polyamide material in the TVP2 cage reduces the moving mass of the roller guide and contributes to low-vibration operation. The suffix C3 indicates a slightly increased radial clearance. This increased radial clearance compensates for operational heating and tight shaft fit oversizes, ensuring that the rollers do not jam. Manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1, the component meets standardised specifications for dimensional and concentricity tolerances.
This single-row cylindrical roller bearing has an internal diameter of 75 mm, an external diameter of 130 mm and a width across flats of 31 mm. The outer ring has neither a circumferential groove nor a lubrication bore.
As a thrust bearing, the NJ design features two fixed shoulders on the outer ring and one fixed shoulder on the inner ring. This enables the bearing to absorb axial forces in one direction, allows for axial displacement in the opposite direction, and permits the inner ring to be removed from one side.
The suffix C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard clearance. When the bearing heats up during operation or in the case of tight fits, the inner ring expands; the increased clearance prevents the cylindrical rollers from becoming stressed.
The TVP2 polyamide cage guides the cylindrical rollers, which have a low moving mass. The material is characterised by its low weight, dampens running noise and is designed for an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
Without integrated seals, grease or lubricating oil is supplied via the housing environment. The bearing housing requires external sealing of the housing to prevent the ingress of dirt and the escape of the lubricant.
The manufacturing process complies with tolerance class P0/PN, which is equivalent to the ABEC 1 standard. This standard tolerance fully meets the usual industrial requirements regarding dimensional accuracy and concentricity.
