The SKF nj219-ecp open cylindrical roller bearing with a polyamide cage, with an outer diameter of 170 mm, is suitable for high radial loads in mechanical engineering.
The SKF nj219-ecp cylindrical roller bearing, as a single-row radial roller bearing, withstands high transverse forces in continuous industrial operation. The open design allows for direct lubrication via the surrounding system, whilst the cylindrical bore facilitates straightforward mounting on the shaft. With an outer diameter of 170 mm and a width of 32 mm, this bearing fits into appropriately sized housing seats. Design engineers use this design primarily for mechanical bearings requiring stable guidance.
Bearing arrangements subject to combined loads consisting of predominantly radial forces and single-sided axial guidance utilise this bearing type. Thanks to the line contact of the cylindrical rollers, the unit can withstand high radial loads. The NJ design features a solid flange on the inner ring, enabling the bearing to support not only radial forces but also axial forces from one direction. The system therefore functions as a support bearing in appropriate shaft arrangements.
The integrated polyamide cage guides the rolling elements with low vibration and reduces friction during operation. The low weight of the plastic reduces inertial forces, which promotes smooth running characteristics. The bearing covers a temperature range from –30 to +120 °C and, with its standard radial clearance, maintains a balanced operating clearance under normal operating conditions. An external housing seal must be fitted to protect against dirt and moisture.
This roller bearing features cylindrical rollers designed to withstand high radial loads, as well as a flange on the inner ring for single-sided axial guidance. A lightweight polyamide cage ensures quiet operation of the rollers. The open bearing has an outer diameter of 170 mm and a width of 32 mm.
This design features standard radial bearing clearance. At typical operating temperatures and with standard fit conditions, this clearance between the rollers and raceways ensures smooth running, thereby preventing jamming or excessive bearing play.
The permissible operating temperature range is between -30 and +120 °C. This range is limited by the polyamide cage and the dimensional stability of the rings. Select a lubricant suitable for the actual operating temperatures at the installation site.
Open roller bearings are supplied by the manufacturer without either cover plates or sealing plates. This design facilitates the circulation of lubricating oil or grease from the housing circuit. To prevent the ingress of dirt and the loss of lubricant, the surrounding structure requires its own sealing elements, such as shaft seals.
A polyamide cage is characterised by good damping properties and low friction on the rollers. The low weight of the component reduces internal inertial forces, which has a particularly positive effect on running behaviour at varying speeds.
Thanks to the cylindrical bore, the inner ring can be fitted directly onto a cylindrical shaft seat. As this is an open cylindrical roller bearing, the inner and outer rings can usually be fitted separately onto the shaft and housing during assembly.
