Cylindrical Roller Bearings FAG NU2319 -E-XL-M1-C3

The FAG NU2319 -E-XL-M1-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is an open, single-row non-locating bearing measuring 95 × 200 × 67 mm, designed for heavy radial loads.

The FAG NU2319 -E-XL-M1-C3 cylindrical roller bearing can withstand very high radial forces. The cylindrical rollers create a wide contact area with the raceways, giving the rolling bearing high rigidity. It is manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1). As this is an open bearing without a seal, lubrication is provided by the surrounding housing structure.

What is the NU2319 -E-XL-M1-C3 cylindrical roller bearing suitable for?

This cylindrical roller bearing is primarily used for purely radial loads. The NU design acts as a non-locating bearing, as the outer ring has fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring is flangeless. As a result, the design freely compensates for axial length changes in the shaft – for example, due to thermal expansion – within the bearing. Relevant areas of application include situations where rigid shaft mountings must accommodate high transverse forces and allow for axial length compensation.

What are the advantages of the brass cage and the C3 clearance?

The M1 version features a solid brass cage. This cage material ensures that the rollers operate with low vibration and mechanical stability, even under high acceleration. In addition, this version features an increased radial clearance of class C3. This slightly increased radial clearance helps to prevent the rolling elements from becoming stressed when temperature differences occur between the inner and outer rings during operation, or when tight fits cause the inner ring to expand. The permissible temperature range is between –30 and +150 degrees Celsius.

What are the dimensions of the NU2319 -E-XL-M1-C3 cylindrical roller bearing?

With a bore of 95 mm, an outer diameter of 200 mm and a width of 67 mm, the bearing requires a corresponding installation space on the shaft and within the housing.

What does the NU design designation mean for this roller bearing?

The NU design is characterised by two fixed guide flanges on the outer ring and a flangeless inner ring. The inner ring can be removed from either side, which simplifies assembly and allows it to be used as a pure idler bearing for axial length compensation.

What are the features of the M1 brass cage?

The designation M1 refers to a solid brass cage. This material offers high mechanical strength as well as resistance to vibrations and dynamic stresses in demanding operating conditions.

Why is the increased clearance C3 necessary?

With bearing air class C3, the rolling bearing has a greater radial operating clearance than with standard air. This helps to prevent the rollers from seizing up when temperature gradients occur between the shaft and the housing, or when interference fits restrict the clearance.

What is the operating temperature range of the NU2319-E-XL-M1-C3?

The permissible temperature range extends from -30 to +150 degrees Celsius. As no elastic sealing rings are fitted, the actual thermal operating limit depends largely on the lubricant selected and the temperature resistance of the components.

Does the cylindrical roller bearing need to be lubricated before commissioning?

As an open bearing, this version has no seals and is not pre-lubricated by the manufacturer. Before commissioning, it is necessary to apply a suitable initial lubrication with grease or oil and to fit an external housing seal.
