The FAG NUP2216 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 80x140x33 mm, provides a robust fixed mounting capable of withstanding high radial forces.
The FAG NUP2216 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, as a single-row radial roller bearing, is primarily designed to withstand heavy radial loads. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, the design can withstand high forces. This model features a bore of 80 mm, an outer diameter of 140 mm and a width of 33 mm. It is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1.
This fixed bearing guides shafts in the housing in both the radial and axial directions. Thanks to its fixed flanges and separate flange ring, the NUP2216 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing accommodates not only the primary radial forces but also alternating axial forces. The design is suitable for bearing arrangements subject to combined loads, where defined axial guidance of the shaft is required.
The NUP design consists of two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring. This enables the bearing to support shafts axially in two directions. The integrated TVP2 polyamide cage guides the cylindrical rollers with low friction and ensures quiet running whilst maintaining a low weight. As this is an open bearing without a seal or lubrication groove in the outer ring, external sealing and lubrication must be provided within the operating temperature range of -30 to +120 °C.
NUP-type cylindrical roller bearings are used as fixed bearings for axial shaft fixation in both directions. The outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring has one fixed flange and one loose flange disc. In addition to high radial forces, this design also accommodates axial loads on both sides.
This roller bearing has a bore of 80 mm, an outer diameter of 140 mm and a width across flats of 33 mm. These dimensions comply with the standardised main industrial dimensions for the NUP2216 cylindrical roller bearing in the standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1.
The suffix TVP2 denotes a solid polyamide window cage. The polyamide cage is characterised by low friction, smooth running and elasticity. Compared with solid metal cages, the cage’s low weight reduces inertial forces during changes in speed.
Normal radial bearing clearance (also known as CN) refers to the standard radial clearance between the rollers and raceways when the bearing is unloaded and in its assembled state. It is designed for standard fits on shafts and housings, as well as normal operating temperatures, to prevent the rollers from seizing up during operation.
The open bearing is specified for an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 °C. The upper limit is primarily determined by the material of the polyamide cage. For operation, the selected lubricant must be approved for this temperature range.
As the bearing is manufactured as an open design without its own sealing washers and without a lubrication bore in the outer ring, sealing is provided by the surrounding housing structure. Lubrication can be carried out using either lubricating oil or grease, which is fed to the rolling elements via the connecting structure.
