The FAG NUP2313 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, with dimensions of 65 × 140 × 48 mm, offers high radial load-carrying capacity as well as axial guidance on both sides when used as a fixed bearing.
The NUP2313 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, the design can withstand high radial loads. This open bearing has an outer ring without a lubrication groove and is designed for operating temperatures ranging from –30 to +120 degrees. Design engineers specifically use the NUP design where, in addition to radial loads, axial forces in both directions must also be accommodated.
In shaft mountings with axial guidance on both sides, this bearing performs classic fixed-bearing functions. Flanges on both rings, as well as a loose flange disc on the inner ring, secure the shaft axially in both directions. This often eliminates the need for separate axial bearing arrangements in the housing. As this is an open bearing without an integrated seal, sealing is provided by the housing environment. This enables a targeted supply of lubricant via the machine’s oil or grease circuit.
The designation TVP2 stands for a solid polyamide cage, which precisely guides the cylindrical rollers and reduces the component’s weight. The version with C3 radial bearing clearance has a slightly increased internal clearance in its initial state. This enables the bearing to compensate for operational heating or tight fits on the shaft without causing stress. Manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1), the component fits precisely into standardised machine systems.
The main dimensions are 65 mm internal diameter (bore), 140 mm external diameter and 48 mm overall width. With these dimensions, the series is compatible with standardised mounting spaces for cylindrical roller bearings. The component has neither a groove nor lubrication holes in the solid outer ring.
The NUP design acts as a fixed bearing and guides a rotating shaft axially in both directions. Two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring, supplemented by a loose flange disc, transmit axial forces via a positive fit. At the same time, the bearing supports the full radial load of the shaft section.
The suffix C3 indicates a slightly increased radial clearance compared with the standard CN version. This increased clearance helps to prevent the rolling elements from seizing if temperature differences occur between the inner and outer rings during operation, or if tight fit dimensions are selected.
The TVP2 cage is made of polyamide and separates the cylindrical rollers whilst being lightweight. Compared with solid metal cages, this type of cage reduces running noise. The material is designed to suit the bearing’s permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
This component is designed as an open bearing without integrated sealing washers. Protection against contamination and moisture, as well as the retention of lubricant, are achieved by means of external sealing elements such as shaft seals or labyrinth seals incorporated into the housing design.
The component complies with the specifications of tolerance class P0 (standard tolerance PN), which corresponds to class ABEC 1 in the Anglo-American region. This class defines standardised limit dimensions for dimensional and concentricity accuracy, which are designed for the majority of standard industrial applications.
