The NUP2212 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing from FAG Wälzlager combines high radial load capacity with double-sided axial guidance, with dimensions of 60 × 110 × 28 mm.
The NUP2212 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing from FAG Wälzlager is a single-row roller bearing with a 60 mm bore, an 110 mm outer diameter and a width of 28 mm. Designed as a fixed bearing, this type guides shafts in both axial directions whilst simultaneously withstanding high radial loads. The open bearing has an outer ring without a lubrication bore or lubrication groove. As it is manufactured to the standard tolerance P0 or ABEC 1, the roller bearing complies with standard fit dimensions in mechanical engineering.
This fixed bearing primarily absorbs high radial loads and also guides rotating shafts in both axial directions. The NUP design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, one fixed flange on the inner ring and a loose flange disc. As a result, the bearing limits axial displacement on both sides, whilst the cylindrical rollers provide high rigidity and support radial loads.
The integrated polyamide cage (TVP2) guides the rollers quietly and is characterised by its low weight. This choice of material ensures flexible guidance of the rolling elements during dynamic accelerations. The component is designed for a temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. As this is an open bearing without an integrated seal, you should select the appropriate lubricant and ensure the housing design provides external sealing to suit the specific operating conditions.
The NUP design functions as a fixed bearing. Two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring are supplemented by a loose flange disc. This configuration enables the bearing to accommodate axial forces from both directions, whilst the single-row roller bearing simultaneously transmits the primary radial forces from the shaft.
The roller bearing has an inside diameter of 60 mm, an outside diameter of 110 mm and a width of 28 mm. These standardised key dimensions comply with tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1. This allows the component to be fitted precisely into corresponding housing bores and onto suitable shaft seats.
A polyamide cage reduces the rotating masses within the bearing and promotes smooth, low-vibration operation. The material offers good run-on properties and withstands sudden accelerations. It limits the bearing’s operating range to temperatures between –30 and +120 degrees Celsius.
Standard radial bearing clearance refers to the factory-set internal clearance between the rollers and raceways when the bearing is in its unassembled state. It is suitable for conventional fit designs and normal operating temperatures, where no exceptional thermal expansion of the shaft is to be expected.
As the component is supplied open and without sealing washers, apply grease or lubricating oil via the housing assembly. As the outer ring has no groove or lubrication hole, the lubricant enters the bearing chamber from the side, reaching the ends of the rollers.
The permissible operating temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. The upper temperature limit is determined by the thermoplastic material of the cage, polyamide. When selecting a lubricant, you should ensure that its thermal suitability fully covers this operating range.
