The SKF NJ2219 ECP cylindrical roller bearing, a single-row support bearing measuring 95 x 170 x 43 mm, accommodates high radial forces as well as unilateral axial loads.
The SKF NJ2219 ECP cylindrical roller bearing is used in industrial applications that require a high radial load-carrying capacity. The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This design guides a shaft in one axial direction whilst simultaneously allowing for axial length compensation in the opposite direction. This open rolling bearing features an optimised internal design in the Explorer version.
Typical applications include bearing arrangements subject to high radial forces and single-sided axial fixation of the shaft. This design fulfils this function wherever shafts are subjected to high radial loads and thermal expansion occurs. The inner ring, which can be removed from one side, facilitates the separate assembly of the inner and outer rings. The open design allows lubrication via the housing using oil or grease.
The ECP design features a lightweight polyamide cage, which reduces friction and noise during operation. The permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees must be taken into account for the design. The bearing has a standard radial clearance, whilst the running accuracy corresponds to class P6 or ABEC 3. This combination ensures smooth running with precise guidance of the cylindrical rollers.
The dimensions are 95 mm internal diameter, 170 mm external diameter and 43 mm width. These key dimensions are standardised and allow for installation in standardised housings and on corresponding shaft seats in mechanical engineering.
In the NJ design, the bearing has two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This design acts as a support bearing: it absorbs radial forces and guides the mounted shaft axially in one direction, whilst allowing displacement in the opposite direction.
The code ECP refers to an optimised internal design combined with a polyamide cage. This cage is characterised by its low weight, damping properties and minimal friction. It is designed for operating temperatures between -30 and +120 degrees.
This design features a standard radial bearing clearance for typical fit conditions. The dimensional accuracy complies with tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1), whilst the running accuracy is manufactured to class P6 (ABEC 3), which contributes to smooth running.
As this cylindrical roller bearing is designed without an integrated seal, lubrication is provided externally via the surrounding structure. Depending on the rotational speed and operating conditions, you can use grease or lubricating oil. The outer ring has no lubrication bore, which is why the lubricant must be applied directly into the bearing housing.
Yes, the inner ring of this cylindrical roller bearing can be removed from one side. This feature simplifies installation, as the inner and outer rings can be fitted onto the shaft and into the housing independently of one another before the bearing assembly is put together.
