The FAG NUP214 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, a single-row fixed bearing measuring 70 × 125 × 24 mm, offers high radial load-carrying capacity and axial shaft guidance on both sides.
The NUP214 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing from FAG designed for demanding industrial applications. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, this model can accommodate heavy radial loads. In the NUP version, the roller bearing features fixed flanges on the outer ring, as well as a fixed flange and a loose flange disc on the inner ring. This allows it to guide the shaft axially in both directions and acts as a fixed bearing within the system for mechanical engineering and drive technology.
Design engineers and maintenance personnel use this fixed bearing primarily where high radial forces are combined with axial guidance on both sides. The design is suitable for shaft supports subject to combined radial and axial loads. As the bearing is of open design, it can be flexibly lubricated with oil or grease. The permissible temperature range is between –30 and +120 degrees.
The suffix TVP2 denotes a polyamide cage which guides the rollers and ensures low friction and smooth running. The designation C3 indicates a slightly increased radial clearance. This increased clearance between the rollers and raceways compensates for thermal expansion due to operating heat or tight fits on the shaft and housing. The design also takes into account the tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1) and the main dimensions of a 70 mm bore and a 125 mm outer diameter.
This single-row cylindrical roller bearing has an inner diameter of 70 mm, an outer diameter of 125 mm and a width of 24 mm. The dimensions and tolerances comply with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. The outer ring is designed without a groove or lubrication bore.
The designation NUP refers to a fixed bearing that absorbs radial forces as well as axial guidance forces in both directions. The outer ring has two fixed flanges. The inner ring has one fixed flange and one loose flange disc. This design enables a rotating shaft to be axially secured within the housing.
The C3 variant has a slightly increased radial clearance compared with the standard clearance. This reduces the risk of seizing if temperature differences arise between the inner and outer rings during operation, or if tight fits restrict the radial clearance. This helps to ensure smooth running under demanding operating conditions.
The cage material, polyamide, is characterised by its low weight, elastic properties and favourable running characteristics. It guides the cylindrical rollers precisely and contributes to the bearing’s low noise levels. This design is rated for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees.
As the bearing has no integrated seals, lubrication is provided by the surrounding structure. You can operate the cylindrical roller bearing with grease or lubricating oil, depending on your requirements. In the case of open bearings, an external seal on the housing protects the interior from the ingress of dirt and the loss of lubricant.
The NUP214 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing has a permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. The temperature limits are determined by the dimensional stability of the components and the polyamide cage. When selecting the bearing, care must be taken to ensure that the chosen lubricant is suitable for the same temperature range.
