The FAG NUP205 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, a single-row fixed bearing with a 25 mm bore, provides stable guidance under high radial loads.
The NUP205 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is an open, single-row rolling bearing for industrial applications subject to significant radial loads. The design features a bore of 25 mm, an outer diameter of 52 mm and a width of 15 mm. Thanks to the line contact of the cylindrical rollers, the bearing can withstand high radial forces. The integrated polyamide cage guides the rollers with low friction and contributes to smooth running during operation.
This fixed bearing is used where shafts require radial support and must be guided in both axial directions. Typical applications include shaft mountings subject to combined radial loads and axial guiding forces in mechanical engineering. The NUP design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring. This enables the bearing assembly to accommodate axial guiding forces in addition to the primary radial loads, without the need for additional thrust washers.
The NUP design provides an axial guidance function: the shaft is positioned axially in both directions. The dimensionally stable window cage made of polyamide (abbreviation TVP2) is lightweight and has damping properties. The bearing has a standard radial clearance and complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. As this is an unsealed bearing, designers incorporate external sealing systems and select the appropriate lubrication for the temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
A single-row cylindrical roller bearing with fixed flanges on the outer ring and a fixed flange and flange disc on the inner ring, which combines radial load-carrying capacity with axial shaft guidance on both sides. The dimensions are 25 mm inner diameter and 52 mm outer diameter, with a width of 15 mm. A lightweight polyamide cage guides the rolling elements whilst damping vibrations.
The NUP design serves as a fixed bearing to accommodate combined loads. Whilst the cylindrical rollers transmit radial forces, the fixed flanges and the loose flange disc absorb axial guidance forces from both directions. This configuration determines the axial position of the shaft within the bearing housing.
The polyamide material reduces the weight of the moving cage assembly compared with metal versions. It contributes to good emergency running performance, reduces running noise and dampens vibrations during operation. The permissible temperature range for this cage design is from -30 to +120 degrees, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
The bearing is manufactured with standard radial clearance, suitable for typical installation conditions. The dimensional and concentricity tolerances comply with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. This standard level of accuracy is suitable for basic industrial applications without increased precision requirements.
As an open bearing without integrated friction or cover seals, this component requires external sealing within the surrounding housing structure. Lubrication can be carried out using either industrial oils or roller bearing greases. The outer ring has no groove and no lubrication bore, so the lubricant must be fed directly into the rolling element chamber from the sides.
