The FAG NUP222 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 110 × 200 × 38 mm, serves as a single-row fixed bearing for high radial loads.
The FAG NUP222 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, as a radial rolling bearing, withstands high loads. Thanks to the NUP design, featuring two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring, this unit is suitable for axial guidance in both directions. With key dimensions of a 110 mm bore, 200 mm outer diameter and 38 mm width, designers can integrate this open bearing into lubricated housing assemblies.
In industrial drives, gearboxes and heavy machinery, the NUP design guides shafts radially and axially in both directions. The line contact of the cylindrical rollers transmits high radial loads whilst maintaining high rigidity. The component absorbs axial guiding forces via the flanges and the flange disc. Designers use this type primarily as a fixed bearing to limit axial displacement of the shaft relative to the housing.
The polyamide cage is characterised by its low weight and favourable sliding properties. This promotes smooth running within the permissible temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. As this is an open bearing without sealing washers, lubrication is supplied via the surrounding unit. An external housing seal protects the rollers and raceways from dirt particles.
With an internal diameter of 110 mm, an external diameter of 200 mm and a width of 38 mm, the component complies with standardised installation dimensions. This geometry, together with the single-row cylindrical rollers, ensures a high radial load-carrying capacity in machinery, gearboxes and stationary industrial plant.
The NUP version has two fixed flanges on the outer ring, one fixed flange on the inner ring and a loose flange disc. This design secures the shaft axially in both directions as a fixed bearing. The bearing primarily supports radial loads whilst also withstanding axial forces.
The permissible operating range is between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius. Within this range, the rolling elements, the bearing rings and the polyamide cage retain their mechanical properties. When selecting the lubricant for the housing, users should take these thermal limits into account.
Polyamide cages have a low mass, which reduces inertial forces during changes in speed. The material operates quietly and has good sliding properties. Furthermore, the material effectively dampens mechanical vibrations during operation.
This classification represents the standard tolerance for rolling bearings in industrial applications. It defines the permissible dimensional and concentricity deviations of the bearing rings in accordance with standard specifications. For conventional gearbox and machinery applications, this class offers a level of fitting accuracy suited to practical requirements.
As the unit is designed without integrated sealing washers and the outer ring has no lubrication bore, the lubricant is supplied via the housing cavity. An external seal on the bearing housing protects the rolling element system against the ingress of dust, moisture and other environmental particles.
