The FAG NUP320 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, as a fixed bearing with dimensions of 100x215x47 mm, offers high radial load-carrying capacity and axial guidance on both sides.
The FAG NUP320 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, as a single-row roller bearing, withstands very heavy radial loads. With an inside diameter of 100 mm, an outside diameter of 215 mm and a width of 47 mm, the design featuring profiled cylindrical rollers offers high rigidity during operation. As an open design, the bearing is intended to be lubricated via the surrounding housing system.
This rolling bearing is primarily used as a fixed bearing for precise axial shaft guidance in both directions. Thanks to the two fixed flanges on the outer ring, one fixed flange on the inner ring and a loose flange disc, the NUP design accommodates not only primary radial loads but also alternating axial forces. Typical applications include bearing arrangements subject to combined loads in industrial drives. The permissible temperature range is from –30 to +120 degrees.
The polyamide cage (TVP2) is characterised by its low weight and elastic running characteristics, which reduce the inertial forces acting on the rolling element set. The increased radial clearance in accordance with Class C3 serves to compensate for operational thermal expansion or tight shaft fits. With tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1, the bearing fits precisely into standardised housing seats.
The NUP design functions as a fixed bearing. The bearing has two fixed flanges on the outer ring and a fixed inner ring flange with a loose flange disc. This design enables the bearing to specifically accommodate axial forces from both directions, in addition to the heavy main radial load.
The bearing has a bore of 100 mm, an outer diameter of 215 mm and a width of 47 mm. The outer ring is smooth, meaning it is manufactured without a circumferential groove or external lubrication hole.
The designation C3 indicates an increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This creates greater internal clearance between the rollers and raceways, ensuring that thermal expansion of the shaft or housing tolerances do not lead to premature internal stress.
The designation TVP2 refers to a window cage made of polyamide. This material reduces moments of inertia and dampens vibrations. It contributes to smooth running and limits the operating temperature to a maximum of +120 degrees.
As the bearing is supplied without integrated sealing washers, it requires lubrication via the surrounding structure. You can lubricate the raceways either via a housing grease lubrication system or a controlled oil circulation system, which simultaneously removes contaminants from the bearing housing.
The bearing is designed for ambient temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees. The upper limit is largely determined by the thermal stability range of the TVP2 polyamide cage and the thermal suitability of the lubricant used.
