The NUP2226 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 130 x 230 x 64 mm, acts as a fixed bearing for high radial loads and axial guidance on both sides.
The NUP2226 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing from FAG Wälzlager is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for heavy-duty applications. With a bore of 130 mm, an outer diameter of 230 mm and a width of 64 mm, this roller bearing can accommodate high radial forces. Designed as an open bearing, it can be integrated into lubrication systems. The integrated brass cage guides the rollers reliably and withstands mechanical vibration and acceleration forces.
The NUP2226 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing is used in mechanical designs where significant radial loads are combined with axial guidance on both sides. Thanks to the NUP fixed-end design, the bearing accommodates not only the main radial forces but also axial guidance forces on both sides. As the bearing is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees, it is suitable for thermally demanding industrial applications, provided that external lubrication and sealing are in place.
The NUP design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, as well as one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring. This enables the bearing to provide axial fixation of a shaft on both sides. The solid brass cage provides the rolling element ring with high mechanical strength at varying speeds. In combination with the standard radial clearance and tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1, this design offers defined fit conditions for shaft seats without a lubrication groove on the outer ring.
The designation NUP refers to a fixed bearing design with two fixed flanges on the outer ring, one fixed flange on the inner ring and a loose flange disc. This design enables the bearing to accommodate not only high radial forces but also axial loads in both directions, whilst providing axial guidance for the shaft.
With a bore diameter of 130 mm, an outside diameter of 230 mm and a width of 64 mm, the bearing complies with the standardised main dimensions. It is a single-row design. The outer ring has neither a lubrication groove nor lubrication holes, which is why the lubricant must be supplied via the surrounding structure.
A solid brass cage is characterised by high strength, thermal stability and good damping properties. In the event of vibrations, impact loads or accelerations, it guides the cylindrical rollers safely along the raceway. Furthermore, when used in conjunction with suitable lubricants, brass exhibits favourable wear behaviour in continuous industrial operation.
The permissible temperature range is from -30 to +150 degrees Celsius. In practice, the thermal operating limit is largely determined by the lubricant used. As this is an open bearing without integrated seals, the grease or lubricating oil must be precisely matched to the thermal environment.
The designation P0 or ABEC 1 indicates the standard tolerance for rolling bearings in accordance with ISO and ABEC standards. It defines the permissible dimensional, form and concentricity deviations for the inner and outer rings. The bearing thus offers standardised dimensional accuracy for standard shaft and housing seats.
As this bearing is supplied without factory-fitted seals or lubricant, an external housing seal is required to protect it from dirt and moisture. The lubrication system is application-specific and may involve oil circulation, an oil bath or grease relubrication, depending on the load and speed.
