The FAG NU2315 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, with a 75 mm bore and C3 clearance, provides a high-load-capacity support for radial forces.
The FAG NU2315 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for high loads in mechanical engineering. With an inner diameter of 75 mm, an outer diameter of 160 mm and a width of 55 mm, this roller bearing can accommodate significant radial forces. Designed as an open bearing, it can be flexibly integrated into existing lubrication systems. It is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1) for standardised industrial applications.
This design is primarily used as a conventional floating bearing to compensate for thermally induced changes in shaft length without restriction. Due to the NU design, the outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring is flangeless and removable from both sides. It is typically used in bearing arrangements where only radial loads, without any axial forces, act on the bearing location. The rolling bearing covers an operating temperature range from -30 to +120 degrees.
The TVP2 design features a polyamide cage which guides the cylindrical rollers and contributes to low-friction operation. At the same time, the lightweight material reduces inertia compared with solid metal cages. The extended C3 radial clearance compensates for operational heating or tight fits without causing the rolling elements to become stressed. As the outer ring is designed without a groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant is supplied via the surrounding bearing housing.
With an internal diameter of 75 mm, an external diameter of 160 mm and a width of 55 mm, the bearing is suitable for shafts with corresponding dimensions. These dimensions define the installation space required for fitting into the surrounding housing.
In the NU design, the bearing has two fixed flanges on the outer ring and a flangeless inner ring. The inner ring can be moved axially in both directions and removed. This allows the bearing to compensate for axial changes in the length of the shaft during operation without any binding, and facilitates the separate installation of both bearing rings.
Compared with standard air clearances, the C3 bearing clearance offers increased radial clearance. This clearance accommodates temperature-induced expansion or tight fits between the shaft and housing, and helps to ensure low-friction operation of the rollers.
The TVP2 cage is made of polyamide and is characterised by its low weight and quiet operation. It guides the cylindrical rollers with precision and can be used within the specified temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
Lubrication is provided externally via the surrounding housing structure, as the open bearing has no groove or lubrication bore on the outer ring. Depending on the application requirements, the bearing can be lubricated with either grease or oil.
