Single-row FAG cylindrical roller bearing NUP2215 -E-XL-TVP2 with a 75 mm bore, 130 mm outer diameter and a polyamide cage for withstanding high radial forces and providing axial guidance on both sides.
The NUP2215 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing serves as a heavy-duty bearing for industrial shaft guides subject to high radial forces. Thanks to the line contact between the cylindrical rollers and the raceways, this design can accommodate high radial loads. As a fixed bearing, this design also guides the shaft in both axial directions. FAG manufactures this open bearing in tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1 with standard radial clearance.
This bearing is suitable for applications where high radial forces occur and the shaft must be guided axially in both directions. Thanks to the NUP design, which features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, one fixed flange on the inner ring and a loose flange disc, the bearing functions as a fixed bearing. It transmits axial forces bidirectionally via the flanges, whilst the main load is carried radially by the rolling elements.
The designation TVP2 stands for a solid, windowed cage made of polyamide, which guides the cylindrical rollers and keeps frictional resistance low during operation. Polyamide cages are characterised by their low weight, which reduces dynamic mass forces during changes in speed. The permissible temperature range is between –30 and +120 degrees Celsius. As this is an open bearing without an integrated seal, you should select the lubricant to suit the surrounding machine housing.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 75 mm, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 31 mm. The outer ring is designed without a lubrication bore or groove. These dimensions correspond to the standardised dimensions for cylindrical roller bearings of this size and determine the required fit on the shaft and in the bearing housing.
The designation NUP denotes a cylindrical roller bearing in a fixed-type design. The outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring has one fixed flange and a loose, attached flange disc. This design enables the bearing to accommodate axial forces in both directions and secures the shaft axially relative to the surrounding housing.
The TVP2 cage is made of polyamide and ensures low-noise operation of the roller elements. The low weight of the material reduces inertia during acceleration or deceleration. It is important to note the permissible operating range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius, which is determined by the interaction between the cage material and the lubricant.
The product has standard radial bearing clearance. This standard bearing clearance is suitable for normal operating temperatures and conventional fit specifications on the shaft and housing. Once the bearing rings have been correctly pressed into place, sufficient operating clearance remains to prevent the rolling elements from seizing.
As this is an open design without an integrated seal, the bearing requires external lubrication via the housing design. Depending on the operating conditions and speed, the cylindrical roller bearing can be lubricated via an oil bath, a recirculating lubrication system or with grease. A housing seal protects against lubricant loss and the ingress of dirt.
The P0 or ABEC 1 classification indicates the standard tolerance for dimensional and radial run-out accuracy in rolling bearings. This class meets the requirements of general mechanical engineering. It defines limit dimensions for bore diameters, outer diameters and radial run-out of the rings when new.
