The FAG NJ2324 -E-XL-M1-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, with dimensions of 120 × 260 × 86 mm, can accommodate high radial forces as well as unilateral axial loads.
The FAG NJ2324 -E-XL-M1-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for heavy mechanical loads. With a bore of 120 mm, an outer diameter of 260 mm and a width of 86 mm, this roller bearing is characterised by high radial rigidity. As an open design, the bearing is designed for operation with external lubrication and covers a temperature range from -30 to +150 degrees.
Thanks to its NJ design, this roller bearing functions as a support bearing. It absorbs high radial forces and also provides axial support to the shaft in one direction. The inner ring can be removed from one side, which facilitates the separate assembly of the inner and outer rings. The solid brass cage guides the cylindrical rollers along the raceways even under high acceleration and vibration.
The suffix C3 indicates a slightly increased radial clearance compared with the standard version. This increased clearance between the rollers and raceways compensates for thermal expansion caused by high operating temperatures, as well as tight fit allowances on the shaft or housing, without the bearing becoming stressed. The M1 brass cage provides mechanical stability under demanding operating conditions. Ensure that the adjacent structure is properly sealed, as the bearing rings are open.
The bearing has an internal diameter of 120 mm, an external diameter of 260 mm and a width of 86 mm. These dimensions determine the installation space required in your associated structure.
In the NJ design, the outer ring has two solid flanges, whilst the inner ring is manufactured with a single flange. As a result, the unit functions as a support bearing that fixes the shaft axially on one side whilst allowing a defined axial displacement in the opposite direction.
The C3 bearing clearance group offers greater radial clearance than the standard version. This prevents the rolling elements from jamming when operational temperature differences arise between the inner and outer rings, or when tight fits reduce the radial clearance after press-fitting.
The M1 brass cage is designed as a solid cage. It guides the rollers reliably and proves particularly effective under heavy impact loads, rapid speed changes or vibrations, where simple sheet metal cages reach their limits.
The open bearing is designed for an operating temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees. In practice, the thermal operating limit is essentially determined by the choice of lubricant and the adjacent sealing elements of the machine.
The bearing complies with tolerance class P0 or PN, which corresponds to the ABEC 1 classification. This refers to the standardised normal tolerance for dimensional and running accuracy in general industrial and mechanical engineering.
