The FAG 20215-TVP barrel roller bearing, measuring 75 × 130 × 25 mm and featuring a polyamide cage, provides an angularly adjustable guide for high radial loads.
The 20215 -TVP barrel roller bearing is a single-row roller bearing with barrel-shaped rollers and a hollow-ball-shaped outer ring raceway. Thanks to this design, the component automatically compensates for misalignment and shaft deflection. Designed as an open bearing, it can be flexibly integrated into the lubrication system of the respective design. With the standardised tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1, the model meets industrial specifications for dimensional accuracy and concentricity.
This design is primarily used in bearing arrangements where high radial forces act and angular misalignments may occur. Typical applications can be found in general mechanical engineering and in shaft bearings where misalignment needs to be compensated for. As the rollers oscillate within the spherical outer raceway, the bearing compensates for operational deflections with angular movement. The design distributes sudden radial loads evenly across the rolling elements, thereby preventing edge pressures on the raceways.
The suffix ‘TVP’ denotes a dimensionally stable, solid cage made of polyamide. This cage guides the barrel rollers and is characterised by its low weight and good damping properties. When designing the bearing, the permissible operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius must be taken into account. As the bearing is of an open design, a suitable housing seal protects the bearing location from the ingress of dirt and moisture.
With a bore of 75 mm, an outside diameter of 130 mm and a width of 25 mm, the bearing has standardised key dimensions. These dimensions enable it to be fitted precisely onto suitable shafts and into bearing housings.
TVP refers to a solid polyamide cage. The material ensures low inertia, operates quietly and offers elastic properties under varying loads within the permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
Single-row spherical roller bearings have spherical rolling elements and a spherical outer ring raceway. They accommodate high radial loads and compensate for misalignment or shaft deflection with angular adjustment, without causing harmful edge stresses.
The model is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance. This design is suitable for standard fit selections on shafts and housings, as well as for applications with a balanced temperature profile during operation.
As the bearing is designed without integrated seals, the lubricant is supplied via the housing. Depending on the speed and operating conditions, either grease or lubricating oil is used for this purpose, supplemented by external housing seals.
The design complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. This refers to the standard tolerance for dimensional and running accuracy in mechanical engineering and allows for straightforward replacement during maintenance work.
