The FAG 20219 -MB spherical roller bearing, with a 95 mm bore and a brass cage, reliably compensates for misalignment under high radial loads.
The FAG 20219 -MB barrel roller bearing is a single-row roller bearing with barrel-shaped rollers, designed specifically for heavy radial loads. Its crowned outer ring raceway allows for angular misalignment of the shaft, thereby compensating for deflection or misalignment. With an inner diameter of 95 mm, an outer diameter of 170 mm and a width of 32 mm, this component is suitable for demanding industrial applications.
It is primarily used where high radial forces are present in conjunction with shaft deflection or misalignment between the shaft and housing. Thanks to the spherical outer ring raceway and the barrel-shaped rollers, the bearing adjusts with angular movement and reduces edge pressures. As there are no integrated seals, the lubricant can be applied directly via the housing.
The suffix ‘MB’ denotes a solid brass cage. This design provides stable guidance for the rolling elements and withstands mechanical vibrations and dynamic loads. Compared to standard cages, the brass cage is insensitive to shock loads. The bearing is designed for use within a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees.
This rolling bearing combines the characteristics of a cylindrical roller bearing with the adjustability of a self-aligning bearing. Thanks to its barrel-shaped rollers, it can accommodate high radial forces whilst simultaneously compensating for misalignment between the shaft and housing, without causing any additional edge loads.
The bearing has a 95 mm bore for the shaft seat, an outer diameter of 170 mm and a height or width of 32 mm. It is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1 to ensure a precise fit in the housing.
The solid brass cage, identified by the suffix ‘MB’, offers high resistance to vibrations and acceleration forces. It maintains a uniform spacing between the barrel-shaped rollers and is designed for demanding operating conditions involving increased mechanical stresses.
The component has the standard radial bearing clearance as specified by the manufacturer. This defined clearance between the rolling elements and the raceways helps to ensure that the intended rotational capability is maintained after the bearing has been pressed onto the shaft seat.
The design allows for an operating range of -30 to +150 degrees Celsius. Both the rolling elements and the solid brass cage retain their dimensional stability and mechanical load-bearing capacity within these temperature limits.
As this is an open design without integrated sealing washers, the bearing requires external sealing via the housing. Depending on the operating speed and load, lubrication is provided flexibly using grease or by integration into oil circulation systems.
