The SKF 51113 axial deep-groove ball bearing reliably withstands unilateral axial forces with a 65 mm bore, 90 mm outer diameter and 18 mm height.
This 511 series rolling bearing is designed for the axial guidance of shafts under unidirectional loading. Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6), the design comprises a shaft ring with a bore diameter of 65 mm, a housing ring with an outer diameter of 90 mm, and a seat for the balls and cage. The component is used as standard without a washer. The integrated sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly along the raceways. The unsealed design is rated for operating temperatures from –30 to +150 degrees.
It is used in applications where axial forces parallel to the axis of rotation must be absorbed and radial loads are supported by separate radial bearings. Due to its single-direction action, the bearing specifically supports the shaft in one thrust direction. The bearing is suitable for shaft guides and mechanical drives where axial compressive forces predominate. Due to its design, this rolling bearing must not be used to support purely radial forces, as the raceways are designed exclusively for axial loads.
As this model is not angle-adjustable, the bearing mounting requires careful right-angled alignment of the contact surfaces on the housing and shaft. Misalignment or skew cannot be compensated for without a spherical shim and will result in uneven loading. Manufacture to tolerance class P0 (PN or ABEC 1) defines precise fit conditions within the standard industrial range. The open axial bearing requires professional initial lubrication with a lubricant suitable for the operating conditions prior to first commissioning.
The bearing absorbs only axial forces acting in one direction. Radial loads must not act on the bearing; therefore, additional radial bearings must be incorporated into the design to accommodate radial forces.
The bore is 65 mm, the outer diameter is 90 mm and the axial height is 18 mm. The bearings are manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1.
A sheet steel cage is fitted inside the bearing. This cage keeps the balls at a uniform distance apart, guides them along the raceways and is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +150 degrees.
No, this design is not angle-adjustable. The bearing has flat contact discs and is supplied without a spherical washer, which is why the connecting parts must be exactly flat and at right angles to the shaft axis.
The permissible operating temperature range is from -30 to +150 degrees. This range is limited by the 100Cr6 roller bearing steel used, the cage and the thermal load-bearing capacity of the lubricant supplied by the customer.
The scope of supply includes the single-acting axial deep-groove ball bearing, comprising a shaft washer, a housing washer and a ball cage. Additional washers are not included with this item.
