The SKF 53206 axial deep-groove ball bearing accommodates unilateral axial forces for shaft diameters of 30 mm and allows for angularly adjustable designs.
This single-direction rolling bearing, made from standard 100Cr6 bearing steel, accommodates pure axial forces in one direction. The design must not transmit radial forces to the bearing. With a bore of 30 mm, an outside diameter of 52 mm and a mounting height of 17.8 mm, the assembly provides axial support for rotating shafts. The integrated sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements at operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +150 degrees.
Designs utilise this bearing type wherever only thrust and compressive forces occur along the shaft axis. This applies in particular to vertical shaft arrangements or devices with a single-sided axial guidance function. Due to the single-sided direction of action, the component supports the shaft axially on one side. If combined loads occur, the bearing arrangement must be combined with a separate radial bearing.
Unlike bearings with a flat seating surface, the 532 series features a spherical housing washer. In conjunction with a separately available hollow spherical washer, this geometry compensates for static misalignment or manufacturing-related skew between the shaft and housing. As per the product scope, the bearing is supplied without a shim. For flat housing seats, the appropriate shim must be specified separately if required.
As a single-direction axial bearing of the 532 series with a spherical housing washer, this version has a 30 mm bore, an outer diameter of 52 mm and a width of 17.8 mm. It is specifically designed to accommodate axial forces in one direction.
This component is designed to absorb only axial compressive forces along the shaft. It must not be subjected to radial loads. A separate radial bearing must be fitted in parallel within the system for radial guidance.
The spherical contact surface of the housing washer allows for angular compensation when used in conjunction with a suitable shim. This makes it possible to compensate for misalignment between the housing wall and the shaft.
The scope of supply includes the axial deep-groove ball bearing without a washer. If the housing bore has a flat seating surface and angular misalignment compensation is required, the appropriate washer must be procured separately.
The bearing is made from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6) with a sheet steel cage and is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +150 degrees. The lubricant used must be suitable for this temperature range.
The bearing is manufactured to tolerance class P0 or PN, which corresponds to ABEC 1. This class specifies the standardised dimensional and running tolerances for standard mechanical engineering applications.
